Hi, I'm Remco

Please join our Discord server and read the #joining_wg channel to see the final step in the process. Old Rooftop What is your current RS name? Old Rooftop List any previous RS names: I've made over 40 accounts with my brother in the early years of runescape, many of which I can still name but have no effect on the recent years. I guess my most notable account from the early days is: Remranger, my rs3 main account. He was what this account now is. My main skiller. In osrs I've made many accounts aswell but the three that really stuck with me are: x zoologist, my 13 def IM, and reverend nox, my f2p account. Neither of these two are used as alts since I don't like multi-logging. What is your total level and combat level? My current total level is 2116, but rapidly climbing towards 2277. I recently got back into this account after spending a lot of time on my f2p only account and my achievement based 13 defence p2p ironman. But after maxing once a long time ago on rs3 a felt the strong urge to max osrs aswell as skilling is my favorite pastime on runescape. On osrs I don't have many impressive skills yet. But certainly will go for a lot of post 99 xp in many skills. My current combat level 120.075. I don't pvm or boss a lot, not yet anyways. Joining you might convince me of the subtle art and technique of pvming in a manner I might enjoy way more then I know now. Much of my combat xp that isn't gained through slayer will start coming in as xp through minigames. I like to only play one account at a time, as in, no multi logging. As I also like to multitask with things other than runescape. Therefore, restarting this account made me semi-pause my 13 def IM and the achievement gains will shift it's focus to my main account. I like competitive soul- and castle wars which I will try to get back into as soon as possible (no need to join specific clans for this). Tell us about your RuneScape account and history. I started very early into runescape 2, my runescape run might be as long as this clan, but my brother knows the exact year probably better than me. I started with several accounts that were quickly abandoned. Many twin accounts made with my brother, like 13 mage fire strike rushers and mining focused accounts (yes, restriction builds were a thing aswell back then) and even a twin account that role played as a husband and wife, pretty sure I was the skilling wife and he was the combat father. Ow, the good old times. Then I got serious and starting working on Remranger, mostly playing with one of my best friends from back then. Remranger was the combination of Remco, my first name, and ranger, my favorite combat style. That was the first account I took really serious and quickly found my way into the skilling community. Learning more and more about efficiency, xp rates and game ticks. I worked my way up the total levels while playing along side some of the greatest skillers of the time, like back2pray, calibanio and dragonsseed. As we played, as I understand, in the same home world as you guys do now. World 27. Let's fast forward a bit as I don't want to write a whole book here, we'll have plenty of time for old stories later, to the point at which I was at my peak. I'll talk about my clan life in the next bit, but It goes hand in hand that the clans I was in made me into the skiller I was once was and trying to become again, just with a little less playing time. I quickly realised that I wanted to get 200m xps and high post level 99 xp skills before the game became too easy and riddled with pay-to-win, so I kept pushing onwards until divination came out. I think it was divination. I tried to look up my old account but it might be locked because I haven't played in recent years. I ended there with about 1.1 bill total xp and maxed total level. A little while after squeal of fortune and silverhawk boots came out. Then it was time for a break until osrs came around the corner. Blablabla and there was Old Rooftop. My new main! The name came from many of the old shooter I used to play on me PC like battlefield heroes and battlefield play4free, simple low graphic shooters in which skill meant something completely different than their older brother battlefield or call of duty. I was always called something along the lines of rooftophero or rooftopsoldier because I liked catching people off guard from above. Old rooftop is just a riff off that reminiscing of my younger gamer days. I played it just like rs2, slacking a lot but when I got in the ritme of a grind I just kept going until I reached a nice milestone. I quit the account for a while when I found myself bored of the end game grinds and needed a new adventure. A simplistic adventure, something F2P. And reverend nox was born. Just a name I liked for the sound of it. My F2p only, mostly skiller, definitely did not put 40m off old rooftop on the account to instantly grind 99 smithing to be self sustainable type of account. But after the rush of grinding 99 smithing, I was out of money but with a clear focus. Get into the high level F2P skilling community. And I did. With 1122 total I got pretty far into the grind for max, but then it got stale and it was time to move on again and try something completely out of my comfort zone. My 13 defence ironman but with an extra twist that I wanted to focus on achievements rather than just leveling up and doing the same grinds as before. Thats why one of the first grinds was to get the blue gracefull recolour from brimhaven agility as soon as I could. And actually, I really enjoyed that, I'll probably get that on Old Rooftop aswell. I got a rock golem pet which was nice, did many things I didn't think I would and had a great plan written for everything I still wanted to do, but then the sudden urge to max came up again. And I knew I had to go there and then, not think about it, just do it. Renew my membership on Old Rooftop and just grind it out. Which will be hard as I'll tell a bit more about in the part about myself. (I'll keep it brief from here on out :) I promise) Tell us about your clan history. I've not been a part of a clan on osrs so far. I've been mostly hanging out in chunkus lad cc these past months. But I've been in two of the biggest skilling clans in the early days of runescape on Remranger. First in Runescape Skillers, one of the clans starting in the same era as you guys. All about the hiscores grind. We had one of the strongest communities linked with the highest ranked players which really motivated me to get on the grind myself. After that I joined Oblivion as it was a skilling clan focused on the competitive scene of runescape skiller cups, early days runescape bingo and 24 hour xp races. Tell us about your yourself. My name is Remco, I'm a man from The Netherlands. I'm 27 and have been playing since I was a little mini man in primary school. I've had several educational backgrounds but dropped out after my grandma's passing to pursue what I believe is my purpose in life. To make people happy with the food I cook, as my grandma did. I haven't been to any culinary school. But after years in hospitality I now proudly own two small restaurants (mostly for take away and delivery nowadays) together with my business partner. My job is also my hobby, as business is just something that came with the territory, I'm first and foremost a cook that loves to works with his hands and make good food that people can enjoy. The two restaurants are focused on Asian food and the other on Mexican food. But my own passion is based on Japanese cuisine mixed with my Dutch heritage and French technique. I can ramble on about this for hours so I'll stop here. Besides that I read as much as I can, I play the drums and lastly I study a lot about other cultures. Mostly ancient cultures, histories people of interest, so a lot of biographies. And more than anything else, everything there is to know about Japan. My kind of music is a lot of lo-fi hiphop, upbeat jazz and big band, soul and funk, progressive rock, classical music and lyrical hiphop. Kind of a lot haha. I like puppy dogs and dislike static electricity. How did you hear about us? It was through my brother, which I've mentioned a few times now. He's in here as well and I told him a want to join a clan, he recommended you! He is, The Heir. What makes you want to join us? Well I think that can be separated in three sections: first, I'd like to join the clan my brother is in, that would make me happy. Second, you focus on the things I don't do a lot, pvming and pking. Pking might not really be for me but pvming I can see myself doing. And third, you guys have been around for ages, which leads to my main reason for choosing you over other clans. This must be a great clan and an even greater community and the one thing I miss on a daily basis is a feeling of community on Runescape. Being able to talk to others that actually want to talk and not just talk rubbish. That's why I want to get in, to have a new way of having interactions with people that are nice and are interested in others. Do you agree to the rules and requirements of WG and understand that this is an honour clan? Yes Come clean about anything that may deter us from accepting you: I've been a good boy, but you might want to know that I am horrible at pking and pvming kind of scares me. But I love to learn!
