      IRC Nickname: Snowzak Group: Emeritus Posts: 1193 Member No.: 5 Joined: December 26, 2007 Total Events Attended: 67    | After MANY suggestions and favourable opinions concerning clan awards, and many promises from the Leadership to input them, we're introducing in these first days of Spring, the WG Seasonal Awards, which would be voted by WG members once each season, i.e. every three months. WG Awards wouldn't be WG Awards if the clan as a whole didn't participate entirely in their elaboration. This'll be a collective, clan-wide project. It'll be done in a few steps - the first one is getting your suggestions. I./ Suggestions ---------------
DZ and I discussed this a bit, and remains in our ideas quite a few blank spots. Our Suggestions/Ideas for the WG Awards System: -First choose categories/awards (Best PKer, Best Looking IRL, Most Horny and whatnot...) -Find some way to limit the amount of awards possible per person (so that two people don't win all of the awards...) -One or two awards maximum per person? Personally, I'd like to see awards for: -Best No-Lifer (Activity) -Friendliest -Power Trainer -Rookie of the Season (joined under three months ago when nominations open) -H-Core'st Tank -Skills Master -Best P2p BH'er -Best F2p BH'er -Funniest TS Accent -Most Mature -Forum beast -Hottie IRL (Male or Female...) -Most Dedicated -Recruiting Machine etc... We talked for a bit, but it's hard with only two people to come up with all of the categories, and rules for them. What I think is most important is to limit the amount of awards people can win, but how? Feedback please. I do realise that by allowing each person to only receive 2-3 awards this would reduce the risk, but some of the awards arent the kind of thing that can be recognised by a vote. Just a few examples: Best Tank-- Does a normal member really watch each fight to see who is the 'Best tank'? I'm going to guess not.... Best sniper-- Again.... if youre at a war and your attention is on finding who the best sniper is rather than figthing then you're not doing your job :/ I think a distinction should be made between which awards are given by a clan vote and which are nominated and then voted on by either the tertiary leaders/raid leaders and council. In regard to rewards.... as we can no longer offer financial rewards what will people get for 'winning' one of these awards? I would love to suggest banners but since Wg only has a couple of sig-makers now it would put a huge demand on them to provide a huge amount of underbanners/sigs. Spring was two days ago, doesn't matter if we're a week or two off 
Well the solution would be to limit the amount of awards one person can be nominated in, before voting starts. But I'm not sure how we could do that. For the rest, well, we have to trust in WG's impartiality.
