I guess we're back on weekly raids now, but why not have some mandatory raids?

Just think, we could pull like 45-50 people, and then we could really "bonk" all the clans we want to but can't due to opts (welfarers, RDK, RoT, etc.). I talked with this with bto a couple times before, and he said he doesn't want to overdue raiding. I agree, that's why I only suggest having a mega raid every 2-3 weeks. This way we can both have megaraids, and maintain our weekly raids which I also know have alot of support.

NOTE: To some newerr members that may not know when I say mandatory I mean mandatory sign-ups, not if you don't go you get booted from wg hash.png. Unless you're Joe cuz he nh hash.png.

Discuss.

1 Mandatory raid a month sounds fair. Just to get things started. Eventually people will see how amazing p2p raiding is and join us so there will be no need for mandatory raids.

Mandatory Raids is all good with me. I don't mind them how ever often, cause I come to almost every raid if I happen to be on anyway. I had sorta thought all raids are mandatory. Usually if anyone pm me to come I go too. Only if rl is in the way.

I've sorta been enjoying getting up a lil earlier on Sunday morning and raiding before church with the Aussies.

Thanks guys for being nice and telling me when I wear the wrong gear. Eventually I will get it right. tongue.gif

I haven't missed a raid yet since I've been back, 1 mega raid a month would be good, I'm still trial but I ask for raids every day l0l raid now pl0x? I gain more in EP 76k's, than I lose in raids anyway.

The only main problem is that we are so spread across different timezones. In summer that's fine, but especially during school that makes it a lot more difficult. Somebody is going to end up getting the short end of the stick, and until people realize that raiding is fun and can benefit them and the clan people will continue to skip. I agree with the main idea though.

Recruiting these last 3 weeks of summer could really help with this. The larger membership will mean more people to show up. Paying close attention to those that intro and getting to know them and helping them through the process of becoming a trial and then the application . . .

This may be a good idea, but if you do something like this, give attendees three attendance points each. This means that its important enough to get up at an odd hour for, if for no other reason.

Only if there's guaranteed action. It'd suck if we prepared ages for a massive raid, only to find no one out. Guess there's certain times when there's bound to be people out though, so it sounds like a good idea.

We had raid signups before but it didn't last for long, can't remember why.

I would definitely say try for mandatory sign ups.

Bad idea for Mandatory sign ups, we had this last year with the Clan Wars League. For instance:

Member X Signs up as yes, then something unexpected happens and Member X is unable to come because he or she gone out with friends (using this as an example). Member X comes back and gets bitched to hell about signing up as yes but not being there, then accused of skipping an event. This has happened plenty of times so i don't agree with the signups. mellow.gif

I agree with not having mandatory sign ups to often. I sometimes have to work extra hours or maybe help with my grandma. It really wouldn't be fair as some of staff would hand out warn levels, if I say I'm coming then a family/work thing comes up for me.

I remember this being a bad issue in the past like Petester is saying.

If people have a valid excuse for signing as yes and not coming then it's fine. But it's proven that Mandatories get alot more people than when it's not mandatory.
