But yes you just asked a very silly uestion like asking what is the world cup in terms of football.

England just beat the aussies reclaiming the ashes trophy. Gave them a good thrashing. Not sure if his lordship is into cricket or not...

This. Sorry, cricket is just not in our culture at all. Every country (AFAIK) plays soccer, thats why everyone knows what the World Cup is.

btw, australia didnt deserve to win. why the fuck didnt they put in a spinner for the final test.

now im not saying england wernt the best team, they were the best team, but there was one of the 5 tests where the umps fucked australia over, giving a drop as a catch and some other shit. i bet the australia media will be all over that, blaming them for us losing lol

 It was nice to win, but if it was played in Australia it would've been a repeat of 07 which has been completely forgotten. If we wanna get #1 ranking we need to get rid of Cook and Collingwood needs to get some form. Trott is gonna be sick.

 A lot of Yanks probably think cricket sucks because it generally doesn't involve heavy, steroid-prone behemoths in it -- which is silly. (I consider myself half-Yank-half-Aussie, btw)

I never really played it (right) back when I was living in Queensland, but I can relate to those who love it. It's a cool game.
