Decorated really well-from the outside, it looks awesome, to the poin that you want it for almost 4 years-But then...you cut the cake, finally, and take a bite-it's salty. WildGuard just hasn't been what I thought it would be. It seems that the PVP, which is somewhat sporadic for non-AEST members, comes before the members-beofre the community. I want to be in a clan that places it's members before its PVP. I want to be in a clan that is a community, a group of friends, first and a PVP clan second. WildGuard does not satisfy that wish. Since I got here, i have been repeatedly flamed by Havoc. It's not intense flaming, mind you, but it is directed specifically at me, and it gets old very fast. He pisses other members off as well-i'd be happy to show you the logs of this-with his smart, scathing remarks about this is that-usually personal. After seeing these comments all afternoon/evening, I finally decide to tell him off, to defend myself-i get a temp ban along wih him. Vephy tells us in seperate PM's to add each other to ignore, and that any more will result in a warning or a ban until COuncil in online. I did what I was told-I put him on ignore, and all is just fine. But I still see other half ops saying things like "Omar don't start" when I happen to be a bit annoyed by somethin, or involved in a debate about this or that. He hasn't added me to ignore and, although I can't see it, he continues to make scathing remarks directed at me. The rule that prohibits flaming is being broken, and nothing has happened other than a short suspension while Havoc was away for a weekend. This says to me that our Council can't, or wont, enforce the rules. Now, WG is aPVP clan-obviously. This can be seen by looking at the required gear list. But, other than the random raid done in the middle of the week recently, i haven't seen a single raid for anyone but AEST. If I missed oe, or even two, I apologize, but I haven't seen one held for ES or GMT. We've had a war, a steel war, and a CWRI since I applied-activity here is fine. With Raids, it isn't. So, very very much earlier than expected, I'm leaving WG. I don't like being flamed and nothing being done, and I don't like missing raids because of them being at 5am EST. To be honest, I just don't like what I've seen since I joined. WildGuard always seemd like he best clan I could ever be in. But, as I said before-on the outside, it looks awesome. Dylan-You were an awesome mentor, man. GOod luck with your next Mentee. Maybe he'll actually stick around, and wont see Wg the way I do now. Rachel-You're just awesome ^.^ Sorry to leave so soon, but this is just too much of a frustration, all the flaming from Havoc especially. I'll stil train with ya, if you want. Some people don't gel, thats life, get used to it. On the raiding front, I agree, it hasn't been the best lately but that has been the result of an obvious lack of raid leaders, which has recently (as in yesterday) been solved. I am sure both Zemus and Randy are just settling in so I am sure if you gave them time you would find that Raids more suited to your timezone will eventuate. I hate to say it, but I think the issue here is you expected a WG that had nothing better to do than suit you, and instead you found a diverse group of people who didn't all nessacarily agree with your thoughts & opinions which you couldn't cope with (see: multiple issues on IRC, and the 9/11 topic). Do you know how many people that I have butted heads with in my time here in WG? More than enough. I have flamed council members, voiced my opinion to others, but in the end we all got over it. If you cannot deal with one member and ask them their problems with you, then that is only your fault. You should have taken the problem to a council member if it has been that bad, and you should have tried to take the matter into your own hands and tried to talk nicely to him. Some people just get pleasure out of someone reacting to them. Ignore all flames and flamebaits. Now then, I see you as having a lot of potential of being a good member, so I hate having to criticize you as you leave, because that does not really encourage you to stay, but seriously, you are over reacting. The problem that you may have had with Omar is easily fixed when it is diplomatically solved. Patience is a virtue, and when you can see that we were in the process of electing raid leaders and event leaders, you should know that we also know that there are problems such as the ones that you mentioned. You say that you have not seen raids after 5AM EST? I know I have missed a few after 5AM EST, so you should pay more attention. We just elected 2 new raid leaders. One is EST and the other is AEST. We now have a raid leader for each timezone. This should solve any problem that you have with raids. I put my faith in the three men that we have serving on the raid leader team. They are all great members. So now I ask, take another bite of the "salty" cake and see if it is really salty, or if it was just too sweet for your first bite.
