Warn level.

I will not tolerate disrespect of this topic. Though it is frame in a light hearted manner it is grasping at the mentality of WG after the successful war with Gladz in a way to better gauge our approach.

Hope you take these topics more seriously in the future.

Let's skill!... Or rather, train in general; more non-pvp events: Boss events, etc.
I know I personally have some leveling to do... especially considering how much I enjoyed today's post-war raid.

We've earned our glory, so let's enjoy it, train, and prepare ourselves for future fights. And if we do have an upcoming war in the near future, please let it be item-safe -- please!!!

Eew wtf is this training shit?

Nooooo. Lets hit P2P and PVP hard while we are starting a streak. Keep up the pvp activity until we have made a real name for ourselves again.

Nulled, the best option is to capitalize on the success and create a snowball effect of victory in confidence culminating in another Gene war and then repeat the process until WG #1 p2p/f2p.

In reality though, WG relies too much on Gene wars, so we're probably best off doing we did after the Battle of Turning Tides and basically stagnate for another few months, that or suffer some humiliating defeats whatever seems good.

More PvP in general (not specifically in non-safe areas), while promoting individual skilling to help build people's banks and increase the skills that benefit PvP. This will be more of a PvP focused idea, but it will show some people some profits of being PvP focused.

More PvP events where we can take it seriously, win, and enjoy ourselves, but instead of acting like a top clan and constantly PK, we skill in our off time. This means more corp/GWD/DK trips to build banks, to make us have more and better gear. This will promote un-safe trips, as some people will not care to lose a few hundred k that their clan help them get.

Then include some skilling events and questing events in general to get those that can't use pools for example, to be able to use them. Find quests and skills that are crucial to PvP and training in general, and make sure that we try to get every member who wants to complete it, finished with it. Armoured Zombies are another great example of this. Find those that have not finished it, run competitions to get the stats for it, and then run competitions for the first person to complete the quest, with small rewards such as 76ks, ranks in IRC for periods of time, and stuff like that.

Basically promote in-clan activity, and draw our community together, that way when we go out into the wilderness, we can enjoy ourselves and pull together victories, instead of having to run and bank, and be scared of losing some GP.

Practice with f2p intraclan fights with skilled members being the op force against less skilled teams.

@Joe

Define stagnate, as I see it our community only grew as well as our numbers/core numbers. In a way I agree with you, that would be a safe way to go about things, we are growing from these big wars every few months I think and I get the impression from you're post that you feel the same.

I guess the main problem so far has been pushing through to that extra level afterwards. I really wish staff would try to capitalize more on these successes and up their game. That is the only way that we will push through to the next level in PvP.

@Nick

Yes, pulling the clan together should be our prime goal while pushing forward in PvP. There is so much pushing and weight we can put in at a time and that is why our community must become stronger.

By pulling together I mean yes do money making events when people need it. I can at least hold one corp event every week and other pvm events. I think I get what you are saying now after you pm'd me. More random money making events to make returning in PvP easier.

We shouldn't forget recruitment as well, we have a lot of inactives about to get cut in at the moment. We need to maintain our numbers while finding new pk driven and well rounded players in the game to strengthen our community.

Actually Vephy I fear that what Joe says is true. It seem WG hardly gets excited between the big wars. What we need more than anything is recruitment. If we want to become a top clan we need to double our ML.

I know this, we have discussed this issue extensively in pm,irc, ts... You know that I agree with that sentiment of Joe but how can I address it directly when I don't even have an answer yet?

We haven't found a solution yet. However I feel very very strongly that we have grown a lot in activity over these last few months. Maybe not in the area that needs it the most but if you look at the whole picture it is growth. It is growth toward a strong foundation.

We can sit on this foundation and take chances, try to find the answer. What is the answer? I know you don't know, you said hyping wars more up in the IRC, generally talking about them. I remember that, I listen to you're suggestion, I absorb them all.

It will be trial and error, but we will find a damn way to get this done. I stress we strongly as this really is not an administrative problem through staff directly but a problem each and every member must address themselves in their heart. Why did I join WG? Since I gained Council I have boldened emphasis on recruitment and activity among all levels, especially staff has been my strongest focus and will continue to be the thing I stress. It is what maintains our activity and the number of core members within the clan. With this core we have more raw materials to forge into a strong PvP clan.

I'de love to see some more p2p wars and stuff. I really enjoyed tanking vh the other day if we had more people would have been a beter fight and we probably could have won. The problem being we are slipping away from f2p, which personally I don't mind as I enjoy p2p much more, but others may not.

I think looking at the numbers for imprompt raids shows that we need an american/aussie time raid set up again as we are pulling stronger at this time and are more competative. only probelm being this means one more raid on a weekend if people are up to it.

If we just recruit I can see us losing members who want to raid and play alot of the time which is the kind of people we would like as a solid base.

If people have money issues I am more than happy to give away 76ks at the end of raids or whenever I can, if i'm not super busy with something.

Once again things look to be on the up so we need to keep this momentum but it is all dependent on peoples attitudes over the next few weeks.

More wars and p2p, to many people in f2p, we would need massive numbers, to ever contend properly in f2p. Whereas p2p, we can do damage with 50-60 people. We dont need massive numbers to win full outs in p2p.

Dont over do it. 1 ever 2 weeks. Maybe even 3 weeks. Make sure the raid leaders host a couple of raids a week, so people gain experience. Inexperienced people should be mentor'd to the more experienced in p2p, so that they learn, instead of just dieing at raids. Top clans dont have mandatory pk's everyday. They have a mandatory on normally a sunday or weekend day. Let people do they're own thing during the week. Skilling/bossing. That way everyone is happy. I know I used to be just PK PK PK. But you cant keep everyone happy like that anymore.

People should be encouraged more to return at raids. Make sure they know its not a lost cause. People need to be explained to, about why they should return and why its good for WG. Alot of people see it as them just losing 500k. Make sure all new members read Gary's guide on how to return cheaply. Dont be TO strict on gear. Allow like 3 mystic returns, and then allow them to return with 1 ITEM OF MOONCLAN. Yes I said moonclan. People dont wanna return and lose 500k a set. All the top clans have a 150k-200k risk limit. In which you must ALWAYS risk that much.

Make sure that everyone is clear in which direction WG is going, and make sure that everyone is happy.

I was pm'd to vote and soon after I voted I questioned why I did...
When did we beat Gladz? Is this a significant victory?

I'm so far past WG not sure my opinion matters. From reading the comments I do find myself to have said what Joe said. WG has never been strong enough to pull for pajor wars without Gene's hype. I don't want to be a downy but only time that wasn't true was when we had some huge names in authority. I would suggest to just continue and focus on raiding. Make it WGs #1 priority. I believe raids brings clans more fortune. Strengthen yourself through night outs.
