Sure I may not know the full story to an extent, but I'm aware enough to have an idea of whats happening. I've been around the block of wg e-drama way too many times, and I thought it died with my generation when we left the clan. Lets not have the same thing happen again? I'm not taking any sides of who's wrong and right. I have no clue if eugene or the council were right. But thats not the point, all of this useless e-drama is. I've never seen a clan with more drama, it's like a yearly event for you guys. You're forgetting the ones who held this clan up high, if it weren't for them there wouldn't be a wg. But I guess somethings went wrong? Rick: rumor is that a wg council banned him out of nowhere Eugene: apparently him banning a member caused disagreement, making him go emo and leave Steve: followed eugene ??? i guess was sick of the drama all together They're only human, people MAKE mistakes. Threating to ban and wall a shame them is completely over the line. For fuck's sake they've been in the clan for YEARS, and during their times were the foundation of the clan. All are ex council or leaders, and you're treating them worse than dirt. You can only pin so much trouble on them, for the rest I blame the officials of this clan. Thats right I said it. I see members new to the clan (who don't know much about wg's history or past members) on a power trip, abusing their mod and admin powers. If eugene and stoke leave, they leave. Simple as that, just close the fucking book. If they ask for clan friend or w/e for the boards, just do it. Give it to them as a final honor and last rights. Weighing the good and bad of what they've done, I think they deserve it. As for banning and locking the topics of veteran members. Why? Rick hasn't done anything bad in YEARS, he's done his time. So why ban him? If you knew shit about anything, you'd know that rick was the one who kept this clan alive for 2 years and was the one who brought justice to the clan (put people in their place). We should greet him with our full respect and highest honors. But instead you ban him lol... I'd rather make friends than enemies, especially with the former members of this clan. This topic isn't meant to start even more drama, but to prove a point. It was needed to be said. When I left the clan, I left it in good hands and good condition. For me to come back and see this... what happened? The moral of this is: take some time to realize what you are doing and where you are putting the direction of this clan in. So many current problems could have been so easily avoided. But I'm still pissed about people wanting to hall of shame steve and rick. Lets be rational. --------------------   | ||||||

I would agree with you there, except I get zero respect for the work I do now, let alone work I have done in the past. I regard to Rick, yes it may have been a bit hasty, but every council member makes a mistake once in a while and I 'think' rick is big enough, and certainly ugly enough  to get over it.I'm sure he will post in here eventually anyway  I do not wish to interfere in the Steve/Eugene cases. If they wish to give the full stories they are more than welcome to, but I would feel like I would be treading on their toes to tell it for them. In regard to Tertiaries 'treating you worse than dirt', well I sent this in pm to someone yesterday:

Mocha, in my early days of WG you were still parading around with your nice collection of P Hats and I am 90% sure you still played the game at the time. When I first joined WG you were one of the people I probably respected the most, yet these days new members dont know you that way. What they see of you is almost, dare I say it, a less active version of ranma which we all know you aren't. And I do not deny that at all, I certainly feel a deep sense of gratitude to all of the past leadership that has built WG up throughout the years. But I also have acces to lvl 4 on the Z6 forums so I have the priveledge of trolling through and reading about WG's history and posts by people such as Xena, Valdremia and Jenny. Though I have never been lead by, or lead alongside many of you, just the fact that you have earnt a staff rank within WG earns you my respect. exactly people are forgetting all of the time and money eugene has spent on this clan. he's been standing strong with it for 5 years, and all of that time... -going out of his way to help others -trying his best to improve the community -finding a balance for the difference types of members within the clan -devoting his free time to the clan -spending monthly payments for the clan website and forums -buying clan members p2p so they can attend wars -offering free wake up calls for wars -spending hours and hours creating war videos to help us win no other leader would go out of their way like that. and in return, you guys shunned him out of the clan. sure he can be irrational and misunderstood at times... but making him leave like that was just outright mean. if he wants to ban someone, let him ban someone. obviously he must have good reason, show him abit of trust. telling the man who is the creator of this clan (who is keeping it alive), that he has no power anymore. is just flat out wrong somebody needs to sit down and have a talk with the members of this clan lol what has happened, has happened. he's not comming back so might as well start adapting to things. learn from this mistake and make it a wg life lesson for the clan -------------------- | ||||||

If you picture a new member to the clan, he'll come onto these forums, see all of these names, and don't have a clue what the username means. To him/her, there's no difference from a 'his lordship' to a 'rick hamm' to a 'job is god'. He could think a 'scarface796' is more mature than a 'starzhine'. WG's history is pretty rich, and it isn't an easy thing recognising who contributed to it and in what way. Sure, you could say 'I lead the clan through tough times for 2 years' and they don't know how truthful they're being, then there's the modest ones who say nothing of their past who get completely forgotten. A new member is focused on the times right now, and try to make opinions on people from what they see in front of them. It is understandable that they interpret the legends of the past as old complainers. Hall of fame may be a good idea. But the problem with that is where do you draw the line to cut off the rest? You could end up puttting hundreds of people on there, to the point that it doesn't mean anything. Otherwise, its very subjective.
