Anyway, I have mixed feeling about this, this was only a try-out, and as I can read (don't know results of the polls) the people are divided. As for myself, 100+ has been good for over a year now (at least for the time I'm here), and I don't see that big of a change after the 105 was released. So I'd stick with 100+ since most people tend to get it over 105 after a while anyway. I always hoped we'd be more about the heart of the person, not the levels. And for the record we got worse after the reqs went up because of the mass leavings, and they were all active PvP'ers (well most). Not because we raised the reqs. So far, I think it's going good. excuse me? i'm refering to what i read a tertiary saying before on a thread, THEY said if we don't pull this many blah blah blah we won't be able to compete with top clans in the future. Requirement two: 100 F2p combat OR 90 range OR 90 mage. This would solve all problems: One, easy KO's wouldn't be, as 85 Def should prevent that(note: all but 5 of our members meet this already, so it seems fair). Two, this would allow for tanks, rangers and magers. We might end up with a few level 9X's, but every single one of them would be decent in combat, at least as good as the 105s we have now. Now, we might need to adjust those numbers, but I wouldn't raise the Def requirement above 85, or the overall combat above 100. ----- Tanking: There has been plenty of argument over "low levels can't tank". I am going to just say that it matters more the plain experience of the person involved, as well as the lag of the person to the server. I would simply provide an incentive: first, show off a way to teach tanking(say one person tanks and one person attempts to kill the first person, after the first person dies, they switch roles), and then create a competition for "longest time tanked". The people with the longest time tanked(and perhaps in a separate competition best attacker) get prizes: Armour/weapons, official forum awards, that sort of thing.
