Yeah the war against DW that was posted was a lure to get a good turnout to a a war practice event.
Last time I arranged a similar event and disguised it as an official war for a better turnout, I was High Council of another clan and got forced to step down and leave the clan because of it.
I was out at the time but if I had showed up and found out it was a lure for another event I would have left without a second thought and sent a complaint to the top ranks myself. I don't think anyone wants to be in a clan where the ranks can lie to the members about what an event is just for a better turnout.
That is something you're wrong about. People would just skip if it was war practice
and i want spam wg cuz im left handed using mouse i spam like m m or sumthing L
That is true but the staff lying straight out to members about what events are being hosted isn't the way to solve that problem.
Well trust me, we have tried everything. And well, if people think it was bad and stuff, send me your grievences. If anyone has that much of an issue with it, ill step down. Simple.

@mtoise - Lol. Well if the staff can lie to the members about the event, the members should be able to lie about why they're not coming. But to be fair, training 45k attack xp is more productive than a cwa practice for some people.
@Lee - Yes, I have an issue with 1) Hosting a war practice in CWA which is counterproductive anyway and 2) The staff valuing event turnouts over honesty to their members, and from the looks of things I'm not the only one. I could not attend at the time so it is of no loss to me, and I know the activity issues WG is experiencing but I honestly did not expect the staff to do something like this. I shall take the matter up with Gene when he returns and we'll see how things progress. For the moment I would expect that the events we host from now on are what the hosts say they are.

So given your recent training I guess you've been spending tonnes of time at CW practising. -------------------- "Do not believe everything that is written on the internet; for it may just be a bag of lies" - George Washington 1873 -

No, I simply haven't been doing either. I have an overloaded College course as well as a social life and while I meet WG's reqs I prefer to spend minimal time on RuneScape which is non-event-based. CWA is a great example of a waste of my time because it has no productivity whatsoever in terms of training besides inferior amounts of xp. -------------------- [05:42] <+WG_Keanu> I think I got a semi just looking at the pic [05:42] <%kat> same |

To be honest, I think a lot of you are overreacting.
Its not as if Lee has a bad history of lying to us about events. As far as I know and can tell, this is the FIRST TIME it happened in a long time, if not forever. Plus, Lee was sort of upset that he had to lie to us which means that he most likely will not do it again.
Second, for those who are saying that they prefer turnouts over honesty, I think you need to calm down and relax. The leaders just wanted to show us that many members would not come to a War Practice. I think they made their point by how many people were able to come to the practice on a weekday.
Also, every WG is event is important. If I remember correctly (If I'm wrong, please say so), there is a rule that if you are on at the time of the event, you are suppose to come. Are you saying that if this wasn't a war, you wouldn't have bothered to come because it wasn't "important enough"? Every event is important to this clan, because it shows not only our members, but other clans as well, that WG is an active and strong clan.
Lee did what he had to in order to show all of us how to improve. I think we should take this experience as a lesson and try to improve, rather than complaining that Lee "betrayed our trust".
Thats just my two cents. --------------------

Oh, so instead of lying to us for a better turnout they lie to prove a point? Love it. This is not a situation where you can say "calm down and relax" and pretend honesty between members and ranks doesn't play a huge part in WG.

"All PKing and non-PKing events are, of course, optional attendance" - straight out of Gene's mouth. From the rules:
QUOTE |
You May Refuse To Attend An Event
* All events are optional, with one minor exception. You must attend wars/raids/PKRIs unless you are occupied in real life. If you are occupied in real life, you have to at least post on the sign-up sheet saying so. (I.e. - If you are online in RuneScape, you are required to come to whatever war/pkri/raid is on at the time.)
I could argue that a cwa practice is nowhere near as important as a full-out war, as is in many cases, but how important the event is to WG and to the rest of the clan world is irrelevant. Our members have the right to know exactly what event is happening and how they should prioritize it.
This also clears up that any members who left the event when realising it was not as it had been announced did not break any rules, as a practice does not classify as a war, raid or PKRI.

Really? What did he show us, besides the fact that more WG come to official wars than CWA practices which is blatiantly obvious? How can we improve? Tell the ranks to lie ALL THE TIME about the events we host? The reason the turnout was good was because every WG member subconciously believes two things: - That a full-out war in PvP is the event which has the most profound effect on the clan in every way - to the staff, the members and the rest of the clan world - and requires every single drop of dedication and effort to set time aside, show up and give the most from start to finish to obtain the best result possible, both physically and psychologically. - And that the leadership would not abuse this quality to obtain a better turnout, or worse, make a point. WG is not the clan to even consider something like this, much less try and cover up the response they knew was going to come with "Calm down and relax". -------------------- [05:42] <+WG_Keanu> I think I got a semi just looking at the pic [05:42] <%kat> same |

I still trust them 100% and I'm sure everyone else does, but they are just upset about being lied to once. --------------------
