Thank you Garrett and Dallar.
“The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems
is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”

Raid Leader Application

RSN:Mustangred1
Timezone:CST

1. When did you join WG, and why did you join?
I first joined in the summer of '06. And I believe I joined because I was looking at the ML for some reason and I saw one of my old friends that I met F2P while I was training at cows (Dorcha3377) and just decided to join.

2. On what days are you active? What is your usual online/playing time (GMT/EST)? (ex. 1:00pm GMT - 10:00pm GMT)
Short:
Weekdays: 2:00PM - Midnight
Weekends: Noon-ish - 4:AM
(I can be on at any time during the weekend, but that is my normal play time.)

Long:
Monday - Friday I have school from 8AM to 1:30PM, And I start Christmas break this week so ill be on every day all day for the next few weeks. And after my Christmas break I will getting out of school at 12:10, so I will be getting on at around 12:30PM everyday.
Weekends. I do what ever the f*uk I want.

3. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone?
Yes I have both Teamspeak, and microphone. And I STRONGLY encourage EVERYONE to have both.

4. Are you comfortable with F2P & P2P combat raiding alike?
I am comfortable with any type of PVP combat situation. I try to make the best out of what I am given and change the situation for the better.

5. What is your view on the way WG is headed in PvP? What do you feel about F2P? P2P?
I think we can be in the top 10 again.
P2P:
I feel if trained properly and pushed the right way we could be a P2P power house Right now we are at 63 well rounded members. And about 20ish active members. With a lot of training and passing of knowledge by skilled professionals, we can be, like I said, a P2P power house.

F2P:
Anyone can be good at F2P, it takes almost no skill. Yet we still seem to be having a few problems with tanking and such. I have a few plans to hopefully help anyone that needs it. (see #6)

I think we have a good group that wants WG to be on top and that is all it takes is the desire to win, to make this happen.

6. It is important to have a goal to strive towards while leading. What are your goals for WG if you become a Raid Leader? How do you think you will achieve them?
Some of you make have see this before. I made this a while back and have been making it as I go and and as I see what needs to be done.

The points are what I think need to happen and under each point is how it WILL be done, and what it will achieve.

1.Make TS crew
This has basically already happened without any action taken by me, But I would still like to see more people use Teamspeak on a regular basis.
-Promote TS
--Karaoke events
--Post ab things that happen on TS
(Maybe even our own forum if we get enough attention and interest.)

-Recruit
--Recruit a friend week

2. "Breakfast" teams
-The raid leaders and active/experienced will lead the Breakfast teams.
*This will help in waring and will get clan mates better acquainted and maybe, if all goes well, they will have more respect for one another.

3. P2P Team
-This would almost be a split from WG just as it was last time but, it will be available in WG only. The only reason I ask for it to be a split is because I will ask for mandatory events and I would like to be a lot more strict within the team.
*This will increase attendance if it is successful, also this will help organization and discipline.

7. Do you plan on going inactive within the next six months?
I do not.
The only reason I have went inactive in the past is because of WoW... And like I said... In the PAST.

8. What qualities do you have that would make you a good Raid Leader and place you above other candidates?
Ive been there before and I know exactly what it requires and how it is.
I can cope under pressure, I think quickly, and I don't have a problem telling people how it is, and some times that has to be done.

9. One problem with leadership is a tendency to start strong, then fade out into inactivity. Will you promise to uphold your duties continuously throughout your service to the best of your ability?
This is a simple yes or no answer.
Yes.

10. Are you committed to stay with WG regardless of whether or not you are promoted?
And again, Yes.

Good luck to everyone who applies, Im sure who ever is picked will be fit for the job.

Raid Leader Applications

RSN: Caimwargod
Timezone: Pacific mountain time

1. When did you join WG, and why did you join?

I joined Wg about a month and a week ago, the reason why I joined is becuase its always literally been my dream to be a wilderness guardian, I saw your main website on google when I was looking for clans when I was lyke lv 80, I made it my focus and dream to be strong enough to join and become a wilderness guardian.

2. On what days are you active? What is your usual online/playing time (GMT/EST)? (ex. 1:00pm GMT - 10:00pm GMT)

I am active everyday I generally play runescape for 12-14 hours, I usually start playing at around 8am PMT - 1am-2am PMT

3. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone?

yes But my microphone ucks, Id be willing to go purchase a new better version mic though I have the money.

4. Are you comfortable with F2P & P2P combat raiding alike?

Definlty, I love f2p with all my heart but p2p raiding is awsome becuase of all the loot, and quickness of kills.

5. What is your view on the way WG is headed in PvP? What do you feel about F2P? P2P?

WG in my opinion needs to have more Official raids due to the fact that there are alot of Non-runehead clans out there pking and alot of the bigger clans pick on the no name clans I think its WG's responsibility to protect the weak; with the way are going in the last few wars/raids havnt been as good as a outcome as it could have been, we need to reclaim strength through battery of our opposers and sheer victory.

Strength, Honour, WG they go hand in hand and i think its only right we reclaim our position in rs as a wilderness guardians.

I feel f2p is awsome, but p2p is better for kills, and I know Im not fully equipped as of yet, but I have been training rlly hard and making good cash
as WG raid leader I would ensure more p2p raids and f2p raids alike~! for It matters not to me where we defend but to where the victory is.

6. It is important to have a goal to strive towards while leading. What are your goals for WG if you become a Raid Leader? How do you think you will achieve them?

As a raid leader i would have to be willing to dedicate myself to the game in totally new way, And I am willing to do that in any such way it needs, I would striive to better protect those training in pvp worlds I would make it a need for it is the respsonibility of WG to sheild the innocence; other such things such as constant raid maybe 3 per week or more I would also try to strive towards creating more as to get the clan more active in pvp, i also like randy idea of the outpost, that and raiding comes hand and hand, with more raids more people will be eligable to guardian points and rewards, it would also give more oppertunity.
As raid leader I would also strive to be always open to suggestions and tactics, idea's and raid training practise's. Anything I can do to boost the wilderness guardians is a goal i will strive for to the betterment of wg I shall train and do my best to serve.

7. Do you plan on going inactive within the next six months?

No, I have no such plans I am fully dedicated to the wilderness guardians, I am going on a vacation from the 20th-26th for christmas holidays, but even then I shall be on the computer as often as possible training.

8. What qualities do you have that would make you a good Raid Leader and place you above other candidates?

I am persistent hard working and dedicated and loyal I am capable of hearling all sides and I am also capable of getting negative feedback and working on what it is that is having a negative impact. I am always active, and can be more so at any point I wish, I am capabale of being online at any point in 24 hours to make raids possible and I am a very honourable guardian I love to spread the love of WG around EVERYWHEREEE.

9. One problem with leadership is a tendency to start strong, then fade out into inactivity. Will you promise to uphold your duties continously throughout your service to the best of your ability?

Oh yes, if i got this chance I would do my best to prove to all of you I am capabale plus it would give me a strong goal to work towards, again I am persistent and I will not quit/go inactive for my duities would give me important and a secure position in the clan, where i can obtain my dreams of moving up ranks.
I will never stop or falter if Wg ever needs me I am here as a willing guardian to service our empire and community.

10. Are you commited to stay with WG regardless of whether or not you are promoted?

Hll yes, I love being a wilderness guardian. Nothing will ever change my goal to move up in the clan though, again I will not falter I will continue to get stronger and more educated on the ways of WG and how to bestprovide support, whether or not i get accepted as raid leader is of course upto counsel I will not have any negative feelings if i cannot become raid leader, I will just continue to get stronger in hopes of obtaining raid leadership.

Raid Leader Applications

RSN: WG_Keanu
Timezone: BST (Currently GMT+1)

1. When did you join WG, and why did you join?
I posted my application for WG on October 16th, 2009 and graduated roughly a month later to Guardian. I could list the reasons I joined WG but it would take up several pages. So I'll say I joined for pretty much everything that WG is and has.

2. On what days are you active? What is your usual online/playing time (GMT/EST)? (ex. 1:00pm GMT - 10:00pm GMT)
From a GMT perspective I have limited free time during the day due to college and my social life. Night times for me are completely free and I have no problem at all with staying up at 3:00 AM hosting a 1-hour PK Run-in. In fact, I enjoy it more than daytime events. My schedule is roughly as follows:
Monday - Completely free
Tuesday - After 6:00 PM free
Wednesday - After 5:00 PM free, generally
Thursday - Busy till ~1:00 AM Friday
Friday - After 2:00 PM free, generally
Saturday - Busy till ~2:00 AM Sunday
Sunday - Completely free

(This is great for the Aussies)

3. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone?
Yes (My laptop has an integrated microphone so I will never be without).

4. Are you comfortable with F2P & P2P combat raiding alike?
No. I am very uncomfortable with P2P combat raiding and am pretty much useless in the field due to my low levels and inexperience. However, I have had over 4 years of F2P experience and have no problems with it whatsoever.

5. What is your view on the way WG is headed in PvP? What do you feel about F2P? P2P?
- I feel the gear requirements are excessive and should be modified to cater for all exceptions, for a start. I have posted a suggestion in the topic in the Suggestions forum containing my opinions on possible modifications.
- In terms of events, I am opposed to (but would not completely derive WG of) events in CWA as well as raiding in shallow wilderness. In the early days of WG's history, the strength of the clan was defined by the level of wilderness that they ventured into (See the first bit of the Extended History) and I would honour that.
- I feel there is much work to be done for raids. There is a profound lack of F2P raids, and would also like to see the weekly raids and the Megaraid reset and up and running again.
- I prefer wars rather than PK run-ins, but would cater for both.
- His Lordship has mentioned the return and restrengthening of our Anti-RPKing rules and policies. I greatly support this.
- As well as that, the Sabres are proving to be a great ally in terms of the shared raids we have previously hosted - I would like to ensure that the possibilities which we can all benefit from with the alliance are made the best of.

tl;dr - It's good but needs: More deep, more F2P, change gear, bring back Anti-RPKing, more events with TS, more wars and less PKRI, less shallow, less CWA

6. It is important to have a goal to strive towards while leading. What are your goals for WG if you become a Raid Leader? How do you think you will achieve them?
Personally I would spend every drop of my free time either training combat-related stats or obtaining money for more gear supplies. In terms of WG, refer to the end of this post for details on my view of clan PvP.

To begin with if I was elected Raid Leader:

- A re-think of the current gear requirements. Gear should be minimalistic. Everyone has the ability to sustain themselves in a clan once they get used to the feel of the clan's strength in PvP, so we need not overload our trial Guardians and future clanmates. Remember - think in terms of everyone, not just yourself.
- Abolishing the reoccurring gear checks. The ranks should not have control over your RuneScape account in any way. We are not robots nor military soldiers. Everyone is mature and responsible enough to be trusted by the staff to maintain and support themselves for WG's game needs, and there are many opportunities to help the people who require extra support.
- Re-incorporating and re-organising the weekly raids and Megaraids.
- Re-incorporating Anti-RPKing with Gene's help.
- No elimination of any sort of activity. We should cater for everyone's needs and interests. I myself have a personal dislike of CWA, shallow raiding and P2P, but that does not mean I would abolish these events completely. I would follow a specification from THIS TOPIC as well as listening to and taking feedback from other members to determine the course of WG.
- Confirmation - All of my major actions and decisions would be run through and confirmed by the rest of the clan - council, other RLs and Guardians included.

Above all, I am aware that WG is not my clan, it is OURS, and hence I would be YOUR Raid Leader. And so, if I were elected, I would ensure that my number one priority with the rank would be to give WG the aspect of PvP in such a way that we, not me personally, would be able to enjoy it and make the most of it.

tl;dr - last paragraph

7. Do you plan on going inactive within the next six months?
My activity over the Christmas and New Years holidays may falter slightly but apart from that I foresee no hindrances at all.

8. What qualities do you have that would make you a good Raid Leader and place you above other candidates?
Refer to the end of this post for the mental aspect.

Physically I am at a disadvantage with my combat level and gear. This will be solved over time with training and working to make money, but it does not hinder the rest of my abilities. I have had four years' experience in the clan world of PvP, with the old wilderness, Bounty Hunter, Clan Wars and PvP worlds. I know F2P PKing and Warring by the book, and what's been written in I can learn. I have had past experiences leading and accompanying clans of various sizes and abilities into battle and into the wilderness - including Leadership of Moratorium and Event Organiser & High Council for the Red Blade Hunters. I have led clans with WELL over 100 opts into battle, and fought on the front lines for many more. I can identify skills and abilities for individuals and for groups, and use that knowledge to devise a course of action to help the person or persons progress forward.

tl:dr - I am not inexperienced. I can give the best of my ability. I can lead.

9. One problem with leadership is a tendency to start strong, then fade out into inactivity. Will you promise to uphold your duties continuously throughout your service to the best of your ability?
Yes. I am aware of the responsibility that any Guardian has when he or she applies for a rank, and am willing to accept these and give what would be expected of me from WG if I were to be elected.

10. Are you commited to stay with WG regardless of whether or not you are promoted?
I did not join WG simply to gain ranks, and leave if I did not get the promotion when I applied for one. Whatever the outcome of this election, or the next, or any other after that, I will always remain loyal and faithful to WG until the end.

-------------------------------------------
I would not make WG a powerhouse.

I would not force our members to put every last drop of their spare time, their effort and their dedication into events but I would allow them to. I would not use my power to force a performance from the clan - handing out warn levels and bans for not attending an event.

What would I do? I'd make the PvP aspect of WG fun. After all what is RuneScape, but a game, which we play for fun? We didn't join WG to be put under the pressure of a military installation to work for the clan. We joined because we like to fight in battle with our clanmates and friends by our side. To raid through the wilderness, challenging our enemies and protecting the innocent. To attend the intense siege of a PK Run-In dedicating hours of time and our hard-earned Rune sets not because we're being forced to, but because we WANT to, because we enjoy it.

I feel that for the amazing spectacle of honour, trust, loyalty, faith, teamwork, friendship, maturity and respect that WG is, we are capable of more than forcing ourselves to try and make the clan physically better. The clan world isn't what it once was, and is there a syndicate left which hasn't forgotten the real meaning of PvP? It's not about pulling hundreds of opts, or having the best spam towers, or the quickest fall-ins or the longest PK Run-ins or the best war record or the highest combat average or WHATEVER. I quote Hunter22, the leader of cXs (A clan I consider a symbol for everything a clan and community should be):

"...and I hope you enjoy being a member and just being a part of it, because that's what it's all about - it's all about having a good time."

Good luck to all other applicants.
