We're struggling to get the desperatly needed light we need to grow, however the shadows constantly block out more and more sun, as our once erect stem begins to slump over. We need to work extra hard, harder than perhaps we ever have, to reach the sunlight, and continue shooting up, so that someday we may become a giant sequoia, maybe even the biggest of them all.
