Super Mario RPG: The Legend of the Seven Stars stands in my top 5 games ever played. It was the first game that I genuinely fell in love with. I have gone through like 10 play throughs on it and still have the SNES and the game.  It just makes me seem like any hit isn't that significant of a hit. Likewise with the most recent change in RuneScape. Hitting high is no longer hitting a 100. It is hitting a 1000. I guess it is just mental games. It isn't that great of a deal to me. Just one of those nit picky things that I don't like. If the story line is good and it continues to provide like the rest of the numbered series games, then I am damn sure that I will be satisfied with FF13. --------------------      | ||||

Apparently after 20 hours of gameplay you finally have the option to pick your 3 characters in the party and some sorta control over the game but theres still no towns or such. And this only lasts till about 30 hours of gameplay were they are split up again for different missions and it keeps switching. It kinda sounds like theyve rolled FF10 and FF12 together and used a similar style of combat to what was first seen in FF7 so it looks to be interesting. --------------------   | ||||

I wasn't really liking it until the massive amount of cutscenes from the end of the tower part up until the end of the game. All of the cutscenes during this part of the game really tied up the story pretty well, although I have to say I preferred the story of FFX still. So what are your first impressions? I love the nearly-seamless entry into gorgeous cutscenes, but I hate that you can only control one character in battle, and also that this one character's death means a game-over. Honestly, it ruins the battle system completely. Then again thats what I said about 12, and that turned out fine... everything else about this game (minus the battle system) is top-notch so far, but I'm only an hour into it. I like how you can see where the enemies are(in ffx u couldn't and i hated it--thats the only ff ive really spent time playing). As for the battle system, I don't dislike it, but atm, im not sure if I like it. I like how its real time, its just that I would rather watch my characters duking it out rather than hitting auto attack button/queuing attacks when I would rather be able to casually watch the attacks....o well I'll get used to it I bet. Still, the graphics are amazing. Can't wait to get further in than 15mins. --------------------  | ||||

Supposedly the battle system gets more intense as you go on. Also every FF until 10 hasn't shown enemies on the battlefield, so this is pretty new actually.. One thing I wish is to be able to use a single attack without waiting for the full ATB gauge to fill up. That would make more sense. It probably is possible, something I should look into.. Still haven't played much due to HW though. -------------------- | ||||

yea, i hate having my charachter stand there doing nothing for a while....but um..maybe its just because its the beginning but there hasn't been any challange for me yet, I like the game being easy, its just It feels to easy to just hit auto attack and heal myself whenever my hp gets low. I also wish I could choose if I wanted to use the epecial attacks-ex blitz/throw grenade. But I havent seen that yet. -------------------- | ||||

The auto-battle doesn't always select the right options =\. Once you get the ability to use paradigm shifts and the crystarium, the game changes a bit. Its still easy but many people say it gets more intense and the battles become more strategic. -------------------- | ||||

I'm finding myself using paradigm shifts in regular battles frequently, not just boss battles as I thought would be the case. I still don't like the fact that if your controlled character dies, you get a game over. Other than that, the battle system is far better than I thought. -------------------- | ||||

Do you just sell them or is there some type of synthesis type thing to make stuff? -------------------- | ||||

Final Fantasy XIII(13)! :D
and i find myself shocked to say that about FF as they have some of the best RPGs ever however for all its flaws they still rate it as one of the best recent RPGs out so it still sounds promising from what ive heard graphics storyline and cut scene is amazing downsides are you only control 1 character in combat, you dont have much freedom on character growth and you have to stick to the main story line and just follow it through theres no side quests, world map, towns which makes it sound like a dungeon crawl which brings some HORRIBLE game name tittles to mind ...
