C&C is definitely past its prime. Old ones were good though. By C&C 3 it became whoever has the most units wins. And the bots in that game were terrible. If I remember correctly it was developed by EA LA and they were coming out of doing the Battle for Middle-Earth games (BfME 2 is one of my favorites actually) and the bots in those games weren't very difficult, so they just made the high-level bots in C&C 3 cheat.

Yeah, once EA started producing C&C it went to shit, I got Tiberium Wars simply because it was a sequel, and it made me very, very, upset.

No denying that C&C is past its prime (Red alert 3 was so shit it made baby jesus cry, I have no interest in even trying C&C 4), but as a series it has often had the best RTS games out.

I have to say I always struggle to pay attention to games that have ridiculous gaps between sequels (Starcraft, Diablo, AoE etc.) particularly when they get totally past it before the sequel comes out such as Diablo. AoE is frustrating because all the current versions don't work that well in Vista/Win 7 which is a pretty big thing to overlook in AoE 3 at least.

Mind you, I have been eagerly awaiting Diablo 3 despite it being delayed and delayed and delayed..... *sigh*

Yeah Diablo 3 does seem ill, but i can't keep reminiscing how easy the game was and after a short time it gets so boring.

Diablo isn't my type of game. Never really liked singleplayer rpgs.

I got to say I'm really getting interested in buying SC2 now. I was even watching some of the live streams of the pros in beta, like Tester and TheLittleOne. Getting drawn into the hype.

Did you see the recent Tester vs. TLO game 2?

That game was so sick. It was like the best video game-watching experience.

Negative, but i've seen both finals matches of TLO versus WhiteRa. Those were AMAZING

And at the TLI invitational TLO vs Nazgul was fucking amazing too.

Just watched a couple of those, didn't particularly like the announcer in the videos I watched though. Day9 was pretty hilarious to listen to in some of the other games.

Meh, Day9 is weird, I like Husky and HD personally.

I like how seriously he takes it. And the way he commentates is like making fun of sports commentators without even trying.

you can't not like the most balanced and influential RTS franchise in history.

I would argue that the C&C series is more influential & more played in general. AoE would also probably be more widely played/influential neko2.gif

C&C is pretty influential, but Starcraft is the fucking national sport of Korea. Cant top that. AoE is also way past its prime, tho still good.

Lol, no kidding. I've been studying Korean, and from what I've seen they run that game like NASCAR. Uniforms included.

It comes out in a couple of days... I can't wait.
I've got space on my computer with it's name on it. hash.png

Dude I'm in love with this game! I'm currently on the missions as well tearing it up. I haven't been this addicted to a game in so long!!

I'm waiting to beat the missions, and get familiar with the units before I start online play because during the beta I was getting my ass handed to me.

If you want to add me it's [email protected], just send me a invite, and tell me what your RSN is.

Damn, I played multiplayer from like 9pm to 3am straight last night. I actually got pretty good with Protoss quickly. I need to play some campaign today and also learn how to play with Zerg because right now I'm straight retarded with them.

Anyways, yeah this game is sick, exceeded my expectations.

So im just sitting here, minding my own business *SPOILER*
hanging with my homie Zeratul and goin through his memories and shit, when I happen to stumble across a little event that contains the end of all things culminating with the last stand of the Protoss after the Terran fall to the flame. Yeah, epic mission, didnt get the second bonus achievement but got the first, so will have to replay later. *END SPOILER*

Summary: Campaign is amazing, but FUCK the cutthroat mission, shit sucks.

I never played online before, so I'm trying to play against some A.I. before I enter some league matches.

I thought I'd love the Protoss - and I still do - but the first time I played the Terrans I just fell in love with them. I've still got to refine my rhythym before I can play them confidently, though. hash.png

What's people's Blizz ID's?

I don't know... league-"anything" sounds too official for me to put my name in and start sucking ass.
When I start really competing, I want to have my methods down solid. I'm a bit of a perfectionist like that.
