There are a few ambiguities that need to be cleared.

Community vs PVP
I wish to make it all official in the form of an announcement. The Wilderness Guardians is a warring (PVP) clan. We have been a PVP clan since we were founded. We have never been a community clan.
This means a few things:
1. You must attend all wars unless sleeping or occupied in real life 2. Official raids are mandatory to attend if you are online. Spontaneous raids remain voluntary. 3. You must sign up for all long-prep (5+ days notice) fights as a yes or a no.
However, as we advertise, you may play when you like, how you like apart from the above considerations.
On a related note, let's not turn our PVP into a joke. It's the driving force behind WG. PVP events should be the major consideration when you visit these forums. Get yourselves riled up for upcoming fights, automatically get into the habit of wanting to sign up for whatever possible. Know your raid times and keep that part of your week free to attend. We have two set times. Surely most people can make one. If you can't, speak to the leadership and we'll see if we can make the times better.
If you are *not* attending at least 2 out of 3 major fights and a weekly raid, you can afford to lift your game.

Multiclanning
There has been a change of rules, however most rules remain the same.
1. Skilling clans are fine. Community-only clans are fine 2. PVP Teams are fine on two conditions: they don't have mandatory events and they are not ranked on Tip.it or RSC - that makes them PVP clans. 3. Minor WG events may be skipped for another clan's events. Major WG events always get first priority. (Official raids, wars, PKRIs, major community events such as in the anniversary)

Emeritus
The Emeritus rules are not written down and only really known through general knowledge. I think it should stay that way, simply because by the time you get to a position worthy of emeritus, you should know the system well enough anyway. I write them down here, so store them in your mind.
1. Emeritus is not guaranteed to anyone except council ranks, but is *usually* given to tertiaries assuming they've served properly. 2. Some elite members are also eligible, but it is not certain at all. 3. The main criteria is outstanding service to WG. previously it was allowed to Higher Guardian+, and then more recently Elite Guardian+. No longer. We've made it harder to get emeritus, so that only the most memorable members can achieve it once they retire. That comes down to the council's discretion 4. On the plus side, there is absolutely no activity requirement (even a forum activity requirement) for the rank any more. You earned it for good. 5. If you're Runescape-active, you have to have an active rank. Emeritus is not suitable.

Forum Activity Requirements
If you cannot visit the forums at least twice a week, you'll need an inactivity topic. Extended time periods will be granted based on your standing with the clan. Sign-ups for fights will now be taken as activity checks. If you don't have an inactivity topic and you are not signed up, you will be removed after several consecutive strikes.

So I'm not on at all during that period. Otherwise, I would be able to come. -------------------- Some call it luck, others call it fate. But as it unfolds, do I hesitate? Do I hesitate?

Ok so i have been asking around and no one seems to be 100% sure so i figured i would ask here in hopes that His Lordship him self will answer me =)
As far as being ranked on rsc and tip.it is this including teams like brutality and ancient fury? Just a little confused about what teams are allowed and what ones arnt.
Thanks

Both of those are clans. We had beef with AF because they had a mandatory and people skipped a raid to go.
That's why there was a bit of trouble getting Lee back into WG... his case is unique because he's a long-standing WG member. For anyone else, they would not have been accepted into WG if they were in AF.
|
I'd stake my tenure in WG that Lee wouldn't skip a WG raid for an AF mand.
|
yes and neither would i.... so i should be aloud in af?
|
No, Lee is a long standing and respected member of WG who I have the utmost respect and trust in.

Agreed. It's been a while since this topic was made and I'm seeing that it made a big difference. The clan is getting more and more PvP active, getting massive sign-ups to wars and a good number of people coming to raids each week. Notice on the Allied Raid we barely run from anyone anymore. Really happy with the way things are going. ~Mark -------------------- Be sure to check out the Community Events Forum! |
