Just as Randy says that emeritus might vote for or most likely will vote for their heartfelt friends, I strike another problem.

If you're making a rule not to allow emeritus members to vote, you shouldn't allow new members to vote. They know pretty much shit. They vote for their own friends or whoever they believe is the coolest. Not only does this occur in council elections this happened in everything that "members" are allowed to vote upon.

Set a requirement that only members that joined over 2 months ago or something may vote.

Be fair, because you obviously are not.

yo guys, this is council voting and you guys are flaming each other over activity. get over it guys.

its a pointless arguement

@Zooby - Saad served as part of the staff for quite awhile before leaving the game, not the clan. He is quite active as an emeritus compared to some others. And he would know what is better for the clan alot more than you as you lack the experience in the staff that he has.

but

@Saad - you are still emeritus and dont get to see or be involved in everything that happens throughout each day in the clan, which does make it hard for you to judge on who would make a good council. You only get to see what you see on the forums and on those little moments you pop on IRC or the occasional event.

Personally I would let everyone in the clan vote, as it's still their clan. It isn't like old people arn't allowed to vote in federal elections because they are old.

But rules are rules, and without them, we be a bunch of pirates

Arrrrrrrrrrrr

I'ma hit the constructive debate.

The old people are allowed to vote because federal elections directly affect them. But WG is a RuneScape clan, and Emeritus are for members who don't play RuneScape. If I was Emeritus, I wouldn't expect to be able to vote.

Emeritus members are here for the community, not for warring or recruitment or most matters that council are in charge of.

Votes are counted.
A winner has been decided.
Rachel will have the honours.

I'm not forwarding the results unless absolutely necessary - if someone thinks I rigged it. The reason I'm not forwarding it is because there is no quick way. I have to forward every single PM to 4 people.

I agree on Emeritus not being able to vote.
I also nulled my vote as I was Emeritus up until very recently.
I agree that there are certain Emeritus that actually read the applications & make an informed decision that would clearly help the clan, however that is a minority and there are too many Emeritus who will make impulse decisions based on outdated knowledge on the clan.

Therefore it will do more bad than good.
