A word can mean many things to diff. persons, so if a word MAY offend someone who you don't know(common in our lobby), DON'T USE IT. simple as that smile.gif

Here's what I think,

You should simply think about what you say before you say it, I know a lot of people in this clan just say things without thinking of the repercussions which will come to them, and after they regret it.

So just think!

I think that being over sensitive isn't necessarily a good idea.

Obviously, if someone is making racist comments towards someone with malicious intend then that is clearly not okay.

However, a light hearted joke in the right context is often harmless and not meant to cause offence.

Sure, it might be okay with us, but what happens when it is said in the public lobby, or around new members?

If anyone were to take offense it would be very bad for everyone.

I am perfectly sure you can use a different name or nickname instead of using racist remarks.

I'm not advocating the use of racist remarks however, i'm just saying that some jokes, with slightly racist undertones, shouldn't be taken to seriously.

For instance:

"You ****ing n*****" Not Okay

But

"How many Australians does it take to change a lightbulb?"

Is probably fine.

I completely agree with many of the previous posts. Hate to just repeat the same thing over and over but.

Is there any particular reason for anyone to ever need to say the word? I think many like to say it just for rebellious factor. If your not allowed to say it, then you want to say it more.

Its obvious that it is a racial slur and it can be offensive to some people. Also bothers me when people say its just a word. Just a terrible argument in my eyes.

Just my opinions though biggrin.gif Everyone is welcome to criticize!

Yea, I'm sure that would be fine, but depends the audience it is with, and the context it is in.
