But none the less, he was given warnings before and ignored them. He could have been a great member, I for one, will miss him. Edit: And about the Sectors: When the idea was first proposed to split WG in 3 ways, all that time ago. There were much, much worse things said. I did not like him at all, he could never make a good leader because all he cared about was himself and a vague principle of doing what is best for the clan. He never had any sense about caring for the members themselves or our community in WG. What worries me about this ban though is that his controversial opinions played a much larger role than his flaming. No action was taken for his previous flaming on IRC, but rather he was banned after a long argument over the value of skilling. From what I have seen of his flaming, I do not think it was severe enough to warrant a ban. I do not buy the excuse that he eventually would have been banned anyways, so we should ban him pre-emptively and be done with it. He might have eventually started to temper his own actions, expecially if he realized he was on the verge of being kicked, or maybe he would have realized he did not fit in with this clan and would have left on his own. I am certian that if he would have remained in WG, that WG would have changed him more than he would have changed WG. Even though I did not like him, I was willing to atleast allow him that chance. --------------------   | ||||

Oh lol and the RACIST thingy made me laugh irl. i've now got a questions for you: There are two members applying, you know them both very well. One of them is like Zhero: rude, crazy about wars(=good attendance), ready to change things, coming up with ideas BUT you don't like him and he doesn't like you but he's still applying. The second members is a lame stupid lil bumb@ss who's attendance is not bad but you will not see him posting anywhere, talking in IRC, all in all a person who doesn't give a crap about your clan, he applied only because his friend asked him to. so i ask you which member would be a bigger HELP the clan? duh, i think you know the answer Magnum. --------------------  | ||||

I can't say I liked him a whole lot, but he seemed like an alright guy, albeit very opinionated and not s much on the give and take style of doing things. I had a lot of respect for him mainly because he really did want change, the thing was he never really went about it the right way. Everything he said did make sense and he always had valid points, but it was always displayed in a manner that was totally offensive and rude. I for one know about this since he kind of made my suggestion into an argument, but he brought up some valid points which I think is kind of what drove Karl to come up with his ingenious strategy (correct me if I'm wrong on that). He did have a bad attitude, and did kind of go about doing things in the wrong way (or not so much as wrong, but not the way we'd (or you'd) like them). Personally I think he had some good ideas and sound reasoning, but instead of trying to suggest ways to fix what he thought were problems, he ranted and complained himself. I think there was enough to ban him, but I also think there was some other stuff we could have done to try and reform him, or at least help him realize that WG isn't just going to ditch the one thing that WG has, and has had for years - the awesome community. He'd be a great member in a fighting clan where combat and wars take precedence over anything else, but WG is more of a laid back, come to the fight to show support, but also do what you want in your own time kind of clan and that just doesn't fit him. He'd do anything to come out on top and we've all seen that, and nobody can really deny that. The main thing was, I think, that he didn't fit in the WG environment and that just led to way to many personality clashes. I don't support the ban, and I think there could have been other things to try and fix this diplomatically (or as diplomatically as things could have been), but I understand why the action was taken. --------------------  | ||||

His attitude was out of line, fine he had suggestions, there is a time and place for them. We have a suggestion for that very purpose, to make suggestions. His attitude was I'm God now bow down to me or you're an ass kisser or if you're a leader you don't know how to lead. He constantly disregards what leaders say, he started a whole rant about what was wrong with WG in the middle of a war, there's a time and place to make a suggestion calmly and rationally without insulting everyone while you're at it. He walked in with very little expectations, always saying that we do this and that wrong. Without even adjusting, he just went his own way. During wars he would always go and snipe by himself even when Dz told him not to. Not everyone can be changed. I'll admit that he did have some good ideas, the way he tried to put them into play was terrible. Instead of letting the warlords handle it, he took it into his own hands. This type of behavior is not acceptable. It's a shame, I admired how he tried to strengthen WG, but in the end I think it was the right move. --------------------   | ||||

You have people for it and against it. I have even had my own peers overturn my decisions. It is never easy to say who is wrong or right. The decision has been made though. It is never wrong to have people want to make changes, however, it is wrong to disrespect the people in power trying to make those changes. The power structure is in place and the people who are there have proven themselves or they wouldnt have their positions. That is the biggest drawback to being council or in any position of power. The utter lack of disrespect. There are ways to make changes and improve things, but you have to use the system in place to make those changes. Plus give him a month and there will be a poll and he will win it and be let back in. I have seen it happen again and again. --------------------   | ||||

However, it seemed like when he flamed in the IRC, he was also egged on. I think there would have been less problems on his behalf if he had merely been told to take it to PM when it started to go back and forth between him and Quik. His flaming of FT was out of line, but he never really had the chance for redemption, to show that he wouldn't lose his cool in the same manner in the future. I'm not going to fight for the un-banning of a purported racist with attitude problems, but it does seem rather hasty. I guess you can't really argue with democracy, though. --------------------  | ||||
