However, then this problem comes back to the emeritus problem.
Members can go emeritus, be inactive as shit, then rock up one day + get their rank back quick smart. This is exactly what so many members do.
I thought emeritus were s'posed to come to wars, I haven't seen a ton of emeritus at wars for ages.

Do they really deserve to get back their exact rank?
Is it even fair on behalf of all the current active members?

Quoted for the truth, Rene make sure you read that.

Pfff, I'm not on your shout outs list. </3

And you gotta understand. Wars are at bad times for Aussies because most of our members AREN'T Aussie. And to have the best turnout, we need to get the timezone where most of our members are located.

If you're still down on leaving, I'll miss ya bro. But I still think you should stay and sort things out. It's not that big of a deal. -.-

I think we should have more short prep fights for aussies though.
Like 15 v 15s or whatever if we can find them.

The Irc chat

This is first off a decent chunk of why I want to leave. Like I come onto the irc at 6pm Aussie times, its all good. The aussies are like there + its all happy happy. Seriously this is one of the best times for the irc. Then later in the night george, abs, etc come on and they're greeted with open arms.
Ok, then I go into the irc the next morning (around 6pm-10pm EST) and its just all constant bickering, e-drama, everything. There's a ton of fights/rants that happen around that time, and I really don't like being in the channel.

I usually enter the irc at this time which is in the early mornings for me.
I really do agree with what you say there.

Please do not leave.

Please do keep me added <3

I hope you return some time.

Everyone has a fiddle, each fiddle comes with many chords. High, lows, middle - some divide their chords into different segments, one that is for the open to see and the other only a few will know and having seen it, to have experienced and spotted it, comparing behind the scenes and in front. Other times it needs a sharper master than the mind to recognise all the chords at one go once the opportunity is given, to finally see what that fiddle is really made of, and that must be a good but sharp heart.

I do not think there can be a greater shock to realise what you know isn’t what you think you know but rather what you finally discovered, if you do get to experience and witness it, a truth - that is totally opposite of what you once believed or thought, and had supported so much. And that feeling is to know, you’ve been somehow skillfully led by a fiddle, to believe one side: the side that it wanted you to see, on the front, to believe it. A fiddle that is endowed with the skill of perception - one that is objectively very subjective.

What an art form.

Very few individuals have that skill, and it can be shocking to discover their otherwise, well placed defence, presented as a reason. Usually, not very trustworthy, unfortunately.

It is not those who played all their fiddles in the open, no matter how uncouth - that needs to be wary of. I think wise honesty can really be hard to come by. Even hearts can be fooled, but it shouldn’t be allowed to be fooled, twice.

However, similar fiddles will certainly play heartily to one another, except, not too sure - if its really right or wrong in the end. Because, if its wrong, then it will be all wrong, and if its right, it will be, all right.

Dear Maths,

I can only say when I read this, it sunk really hard. I can’t even say, stay or just leave, whichever will make you happier. For all those things you’ve raised, I would think it will take some time to heed and heal. But that is really not something I can comment on further, because those things - while are alarms raised, tackling them from individuals to whole and vice versa, is a very delicate relationship. And I mean, very delicate.

I’ve always believed, when 1 step is taken backwards, it takes 2 steps to move forward. And when 2 steps are taken backwards, it will take 4 steps to move forward.

And maybe, with all those back steps with far more forward steps needed, will it be enough to give it some more chances despite having failed itself this far? Will it be enough to know, it won’t go away that soon but it will take to be given a far larger chance to try again? It will not be a -1 + 1 = 1, it will be -1 +2 = just 1.

There is no doubt you are a valued member here. You have come such a long way and been through the rains here. I only hope, some kind of reason could offer you to review your decision. But I know, it won’t be easy.

Know that, for the fact, you’ve raised all these, that means, its a beacon and no rank can auto-give anyone that ability. And I do think, whatever position that is endowed by the clan overall, performances will perform itself in time.

But, if you must go, it will be a great loss. No matter what decision you make, it will be respected. Do know, everywhere else can be different. In the end, it is to be happier and better.

Oh btw, Tmal, I don’t think that’s what Maths means. Those explanations for the challenges so to call, are 2 different reasons that can hardly be a co-related reason in the end. Separate agendas.

Maths I can say I relate to most of that, like the IRC.

Im usually the one PMing, I rarely get them it just makes me feel like no one is bonding or anything and people are like wtf stop messaging. But yes, I do see where you're coming from.

the only reason I attend as little events as I do is because they just happen to go one when im online.

We do need wars that are around 6pm aussie time, make the Europeans or Americans wake up early

I know what u mean maths...
Back when i was active in WG everthing was cool there was a lot of drama yeah but it was dealt with quick...
Wg just doesn't have the community it use to ... I mean the IRC is a load of bullshit if you ask me... evertime im in there its just 2 or 3 ppl tlkin back and forth dont get me wrong thats cool and everthing theres just no group discussion any more even when people are fighting about who is a better tank or hybrid...thats better than setting there with no convo going... and as for teamspeak...
Like as long as Wg has been a clan there as been a Ts crew and if you ask me when i was an active member...or even raid leader the TS crew is what kept WG active...
When i joined the ts crew was...Samosabb, Noescape, Masteredgo, Dragonfudd, Triv,Chrisyabsly, Ryan, and myself...im sure there was a few others but thats all i can remember. Then when they all left... It was like Me Jenny, Jason, Jon, Ryan, Bobler, and Groe maybe...
I log on at least once a day just to see whats up and NEVER is anyone on ts...
If they are they are down in a diffrent room and have been afk for hours.

And you are right everyone does break into there little groups its cool for like an event or somthing but to have an irc channel that you and your 4 friends join just to chat ab stuff or even people in Wg...Theres no point in it...and if you as me your taking away form the community of Wg.

Sorry to see you go Maths..
Aussie ftw...<3

Usually something along the lines of this always follows and Election.
Maths, you've pointed out many problems WG has right now,
Leaving right now won't solve these problems.

You don't need an Orange Name to help,
You don't need it for recognition either,
After what members have posted in this thread. I think everybody has known what you've done for WG.

But leaving only makes the problems at hand worse.
I understand your want to leave,
but there's also much more you could accmplish by staying.

Whichever you choose,
Best of luck.

I want you to know I have supported you through a lot of times whether you knew it or not. I have always known you were a huge asset to WG.
You were always ready to lend money, make donations, be there when needed.
I remember Lordy and I talking once about what a huge asset you are to WG.
I do need to apologize however, I have never meant to be "cliquish" and only hang with a few people. TS was my place to be, since the days of Noes, KK, Sam. I loved being there and chatting, just in the waning days people never got on.

I do love WG and hopefully can still of some use around here. I certainly have always respected you for how you have played this game we all love and for the ability to stay dedicated to our home here.
Please I beg you one more time, help us pull out of the ditch and make this a better place.
A place where we can surely all co exist. This place will not be the same without you.
Don't go, not like this.

If all these things were building up and you were on the verge of leaving, you should not have applied for council in the first place.

I have little sympathy for someone who claims to be in it for the long haul, but then gives out so easily when things do not go as expected. If you can't handle the loss of a council election without quitting, you would not have been able to handle the troubles and turmoil of the council position without giving up.

QUOTE (Mathsnerd18)
2. What makes you think you can last a long term in the council?
I've been around for ages, I was 6 months clan friend before I joined.
And since I've joined, I've been in wg for just over 1 year.
Another reason I can last longer, is that there is always room to expand in a clan. There is always things to improve, which I spot in wars/activity/irc and so on. Yes, I agree it is impossible to make a perfect clan, however we can continuously improve to be the best we can be.
Also, If I hadn't loved wg by now, I wouldn't be here happy.gif

This post was a real wake up call, it made many of us wake up and smell the coffee, and see the reality that WG is in.

If we all work together we can get what we all want again, the friendly, amazing community that WG used to have.

I want you to be here with us when it happens Maths, I really don't want to see you go.

Maths.. Its sad to see you go.. I'm really shocked too.. as shocked as you were when you saw that I was gonna leave Wg. I decided to go emeritus. But I do understand alot of what your saying. Those were a few reasons I almost left too.. but I just couldn't go. As for the Aussie timezone, These were also reasons why I loved staying up late at night hanging out with you guys in Irc. Waking up 4 am just to have an event with your guys.. Had my alarm set and everything. I do believe that the Irc is quite tamed at that time. I had lots of fun with you and your a great person. I hope things do go well for you. So much has changed and I dont think it will ever go back to the same.. But as time goes on.. I hope it will get better. We are a family and I just want everyone to be happy in it.

Your amazing in your own way and I have always respected you as a friend and member. You will always be on my friends list. You've always been kind to me and I'll never forget that. Wg wont be the same without you and I will miss you.

Here is a pic of us at an event. i still have it tongue.gif <333 you maths..
