The wisdom and vision of the old school must be preserved otherwise the clan loses a vital part of itself. Gene, Ken, Rick, Jenny, Zenia to name a few, there are many many more, who know what wg is and should be. They did not always agree, but they always got the job done and held the clan together with love and caring. Now we get bogged down in hate, drama and personality. Is it a sign that some of the leaders are too young to handle the responsibility??? I do not know, only they can know.

Evil I have noticed how hard you work and I am so glad that you are here. Thank you thank you thank you.

And yes those who have "paid their dues" and given so much to the clan should be honored and allowed to offer up that wisdom for the benefit of the clan.

Thanks allot smile.gif

As I am sure you know, in a job like council it isnt often that you have someone standing up and saying thanks, however The 'Old school' in particular are those who have the heart to do so.

I joined WG when it had around 120 members and was an active P2P clan. For the first couple of months some of the other members intimidated me so I layed low, attended raids but didn't spend much time on RSC. When we made the transfer to z10 forums I started getting active and learning all about our community. I didn't know who was who, how important they were or how long they stayed in the clan so I just referred to their post count and their rank. Nowadays the Old School members mostly have an emeritus or ex-member rank, and if I was a new member I wouldn't really know what to think of these people.

I loved the Old WG, who didn't but I know that I can only focus on the now. We can always try and bring the old WG back but it'll never happen. I just want the current WG to improve and grow as community, sure I have great respect for the Old School members but I won't give any less respect to a newer member because newer members have the potential to help WG rise to the top once again.

The Youth is our future after all. I love what the council has done, and I appreciate the work you put in Evil biggrin.gif

Mike, you've always been a great friend of mine and have supported me throughout. I can't thank you enough for the kindness and the friendship. It's guys like you that make this world a better place.

I agree 100% with what you said. It's very true. People don't understand what we went through back in the day. The arguments, the fights, the drama, the companionship, the pride, the friendships made and lost, the great times. The WG of now has none of the above traits save for the first 3 and why? Because the newer members think they can dump all over those of us who have sweat blood making sure this clan survived so that they may have a place to call home, like so many have before them. You see, back when, this was a place of warmth, of caring, of sharing, of comradarie, of fun. It's seemed to have dissipated like an early morning fog.

Mike, you were instrumental in keeping the clan alive. Your wit and your knowledge of the game kept the clan going when times got tough.

Gene, one of the most stubborn leaders I've ever had the pleasure of serving time with (in a non homosexual jail movie kind of way wink.gif ) . The time, energy, money, and overall love of the game that you gave to each and every member from the low new members, to the highest Council, will never be repeated by anyone....ever. You are what made WG and it's a shame to see what it's become.

WG can do whatever they want to me. Put me on the Wall of Shame, ban me, ridicule me...it just don't matter anymore because I know, deep down, what I've done for this clan and there isn't any single one of you who will EVER be able to take that from me. It's been a life learning experience for me and it will remain a constant in my life til the day I die. THAT is what this clan was all about.

One final thing....Evil....I know you work your ass off for this clan and its members. I see the good that you do, contrary to your name wink.gif My only hope is that the leaders of this clan follow the path you've made. Only then will WG return with some respect.
