Don't try and put the blame on me here, I just followed orders and the application system.

Not to rain on WG, but Joe had a great point. Only Elias can leave and return whenever he wants.

Rob was in hall of shame for a reason. I feel that is a slap in the face to those who really worked hard to get in WG when it took him only 3 days. His past is his to deal with and a whitelist is a joke. Why give him any bias, let's wait and see how his loyalty is. How many times has he left and rejoined WG, maybe he is going to be a Simon to us. Don't take offense I'm just saying it is unfair. So far, I haven't seen any reason not to be okay with you back. Maybe being gone is what you needed to start fresh in the family.

I would protest staff promotions of anyone that had just returned after leaving for questionable reasons. I'd be only one member, but I've seen in the past year what happens when this is allowed. Every staff member that leave the clan, leaves a void in the community. I still miss Adam a great deal.\

You still have a nice table Rob. lol

Despite him being in the hall of shame, I'll probably be the first person to say that the reason for his ban is quite stupid (In my opinion).

Banning for not being able to finish the 2 weeks period is really not worth it.

I'm sure most of us act on emotions sometimes, especially when they're annoyed. Why ban those who are pushed over the limit by flames and flame baits and have done nothing but asked to be removed early?

Most of WG's members have gotten pissed off at something at a certain point and lost it, I say if you want Rob banned, then every WG member who got pissed off at something once gets banned too.

I'm all in favour of his unbanning, because Rob has worked a lot for this clan and he has the potential to improve this clan in the PvP sector as well.

Reread the post. I didn't say I wanted him banned or that I wouldn't want him in WG. I think you could go reread his leaving topic as well. It was the slap in the face to people like Elias that work hard and ask lil in return. He agreed to the terms and broke them. He insulted us as a clan as well. I was in the war channel and saw some questionable things he had to saw about WG not even 2 months ago. I think we are a clan of many chances, he is getting yet another one.

Adding this:

Robert is a decent person and I think anyone that doesn't know him on a personal lvl should try to get to know him. If you read his intro, you would notice the excitement of many of WG long time members and staff loving him coming back. He will be a great asset to WG. My pointing out faults to the application system in no way reflects my personal opinion on Rob. I'm sure he and I will be like family with his recent return to WG.

What has to be respected is WG is a clan with a history, a history that it feels proud of and one which has shaped the clan today. Those that were in the clan back in the day are gonna see one of their old friends come back and think, "YES I really want them in ASAP". Ye it might be perceived as a bit of a kick in the teeth, but can you really fault that. Perhaps look at it as if your life long best friend wants to join the clan, would you be telling them to wait a few weeks before they were welcome?

Keep it clean ok?
We don't need even more drama-based topics....
Do I need to close yet another topic?

Favoritism is wrong for at least two reasons.
1. People can change and it's the leaders responsibility to make sure they are still compatible for the clan. 5+ months is alot of time. People tend to forget the bad things about a person in this time and only focus on the good things.
2. It's not fair to other members that haven't proven themselves yet. Just because you were in the clan longer should not grant you any particular rank unless you prove yourself. This favoritism will make new members feel left out.

There is a way to stop favoritism. It's called rule and responsibility. You can stop favoritism with rules by making a mandatory time before someone can graduate sort of like Lordy already did. Favoritism can be stopped by responsibility because any good leader should be responsible enough and mature enough to not pick favorites. Just because a person is your friend in work does not mean he should be treated better than your other employees just because you think you can't avoid being bias.

And yes I was an ex-member but I don't feel I was given any special treatment other than knowing some people and being able to be friend with them a little faster. Hell, my mentor delayed my graduation while he went on vacation.

Oh and guys, like most debates, don't go personal. You should only use an innocent bystander as an example, not pointing out that he/she has done something wrong. Lets try to keep this topic from being locked for as long as it has use.
