QUOTE (Mugger84 @ January 11, 2009 07:48 am)
When people run for a position of leadership and don't get it, and then leave shortly afterwards claiming other reasons really do make me angry, because until a week ago they'd have been willing to accept halfop and really work for the clan, but now as the opportunity is no longer there they see no more reason to remain, not even to keep helping despite lacking the position of overall power.

Anyway Omar, it's a serious shame to see you go... Hope you take the time to think carefully about it over the next three days.

Ask anyone thats known me from the old wg and youll know that i would never leave over that bull shit reason

I see where Muggers point comes from Omar. But I know your not a person to quit so easy. Don't give up on WG. We are doing much better. Things are going in the right direction. Stay and be one of the unstaff that gets stuff done.

We both know the members really have the greater power. The staff is only as good as the members are. They will be good leaders with good members and if crap members then we get crappy WG.

Talk to me about being one of the "Wild Movers and Shakers".

is the day you have stopped leading them.

Omar i know you're upset at the moment, but you're in the best position you've ever been in WG, you're a higher gaurdian who has so much more potential and everyone knows that. If i were in your position i'd of thought about leaving for sure, but then i'd of realised how much more i can get out of WG, you may not have got raid leader, but you're a good person, and you can do it next time round if you put your heart into it.

Seriously, you're one of my best friends in WG and you have been for a while, you always make me smile when i'm not feeling good, and you're one of the reasons i stuck at doing raid leader and you know it. You're so helpful to everyone. If you're upset abought the training like i know you are, there is another post in level 3 discussing it and we are going to carry on with your idea, and sort it out.

If you leave WG you will really regret it Omar, and i'll miss you so much. Please stay! wub.gif

Let's see what happens when you lose your Council status Mugger. You don't understand because you've never been in that position. THAT is the difference. I know exactly what Omar is saying because I've been there and have done that. It gets real boring and overwhelming at the same time to give all you can to try and help the clan better itself only to be shunned time after time. Nowadays people don't give a shit around here. They do what they want, when they want. People come up with ideas only to be muted. How much are members supposed to give??

Omar, you're a great friend and I hope you make the decision that makes you happy and content in your RS career. Whether it's here or not, you can still count on me.

Don't you dare to presume I have no experience with failure in these sort of situations. Personally, In my last clan, I attained the rank of Vice Leader, likely could be compared with secondary leader here. Then, over a complicated issue I lost my rank and became a basic member once again. I sucked it up, got on with it and after a few months of working hard I was of the rank of 'Leader'. I know how it feels to lose out on your position, and I stand by what I have already said, had Omar gotten the position, we would not be seeing a leaving post from him at this time.

Omar, check out how many replies you got, come on, you deserve to be a raid leader, even though you didn't get it you can work your way back to it.

I also know you have other reasons, so please, talk to me first l:?

Quite frankly Mugsy, I believe we would still see a leaving post from Omar. You can only take so much. Look at the other people who had obtained leadership only to step down not long after. You think you're making a difference, or can make a difference, then find out your opinion really don't amount to much afterall. It's not a very easy thing to take and I'll stand by my opinion. What happened in your other clan has no basis here. WG is, and always will be, a cut above the rest. We have different issues, different morals and different members. What's good for your last clan, or what worked in your last clan, may not apply to here.

I could honestly see this coming from a mile away.

Omar, I really hope you didn't take my comments as me saying I'm against what you're trying to do, because I'm not. I'm actually all for training. I'd personally love to see WG soar to the heights you've envisioned. I just think we should pressure or semi-force people into training. I know you've come to realize that calling people lazy won't do it and you changed your approach to finding out what it would take, which is good. You made a guide for one of the fastest places to train in the game. That's great.

What you're not including is the fact that some people just don't genuinely like training. I mean, it's not like all of us participate in Skill of the Week, or if the Skills Olympics come around we're all gung ho about it. Some people are, and some aren't.

We've just got to find that balance between training and skilling. I think deep down that is really what you're after. That balance of where it's not a task for people to train. Where instead of "Fuck I had to train again?" it's "Alright, I'll do a run at the zombies, get a quick 150k exp and then get back to WC," once or twice a week.

I really suggest you stick around, talk to me in PM because we've got similar goals, and I think we can really help each other.
