This system may have changed, I don't know. But: I can see why Stoke was a bit angry at the sudden warning level because of that^. Jesseh did the right thing & kicked him twice, second time giving him a warn saying "If you do it again, 1 hour ban from IRC". Steve took note of this, and didn't go further, but the warn was issued anyway. Thanks for your valuable, structured and meaningful input to this topic. Laura, the difference is, nobody gets physically hurt. That's what seperates me from the terrorists !My points are made quite clearly in the main topic and replies for why this warn should be removed. The majority agree with that too. As stated in one of the first lines of my main post 'this is just as much a rant as it is an appeal...'. Which is why it's slightly messy and badly structured. It was late at night and I was pissed off. Having read the topic prior to the weeding out of unnecessary comments, which I think should at least be noted because it was done on his own accord, I think the warn level should be removed. Steve, the one thing I think you could have done differently at the time was not post the message after she asked you to stop. I think it was the Michael Jackson comment? In any case, that was after she asked you to stop and you didn't. I still side with Steve because he followed procedure and did eventually stop before he should have been given a warn level, but still go the warn level. Wtf are you on about? Don't you start on me too. The points I've edited out remain on my list of things to sort and I'll write a structured complaint for council when I get time. The whole purpose of this topic was to get my unfair warning level removed, I went on to explain in detail the causes for possible reasons behind this biased behaviour. I've removed my reasons and gotten straight to the point. Laura, you still don't get it. Words are just words. The context they are said in defines their appropriateness. I have and never will support direct insults. Which is rich coming from you, weren't your first ever words to me "Shut up woman beater."? Now that is directly insulting and abusive. Now if one of my friends had said that to me, I wouldn't have given it a second thought as I'd know they were joking. That's the case here. We all act towards eachother in the normal way we do with friends. If we know that the other person never/rarely takes offence to then there is no unjust done in acting in the way Steve did. The comments which were made are hardly offensive at all and I've heard far worse. Yes, there may be others who get offended, but the insults are not directed towards them. Also, Stokenut stopped with the offensive comments as soon as he was asked. This situation definitely does not warrant a warn level. Perhaps the 1 hour kick from IRC, where the immediate problem was, would be adequate.
