I liked him at times, but overall he was a flamebomb. Tap him and he would set off. Oh well.. saw this coming.

The thing with Rick was that he was always swaying back and forth. One day he's loyal to the clan, next he wants to start The Revolution. He'll be back later.

No he won't.

It's good that you took affirmative action despite a lot of people liking him. It's good to stick by the rules even if they're sometimes liked.

I have neither the time, nor the inclination to get involved in this publicly, that said, i'll be talking to those involved in private.

Rick and i sorted out our issues but this was expected. I know that we ALL expected this to happen. This is a game, this is a clan/community of a game, and he took it an extreme, and because he's an adult he thought that he could say he wanted.

Sigh I am deeply disappointed in this, rick is a man that is very much misunderstood, it is unfortunate that he has buttons that are pressed that upsets him and causes him to flame, what is more disappointing is that some members know these buttons and push them intentionally to set him off and get him into trouble, and that really disgusts me that we have members around that are like that.

You don't know Rick Hamm.

To Powerman: I loved Rick like many people in this clan. But I also agree that his buttons are too easy to unintentionally press. Anyone can piss him off and not realize that something so small they said angered him.

That being said, I'm disappointed but I knew Rick, and I saw it coming since the day he joined. If not days, then weeks, or months. I'll miss him, can't wait until he comes back!

It seems flaming a leader warrants a higher punishment than flaming a fellow member. As I've previously stated I've complained about flames, flame-baits and other unacceptable behavior directed towards me in the past and nothing, or little was done. Even though said user was on a final warning.

This points out that leaders are far more prone to take action if the offending user is attacking them personally under the excuse "Oh well i'm a leader, you can't say that to me!". If it's not a personal attack towards them, they ignore it or give a quick verbal warning. Which means shit if this verbal warning is issued time and time again.

Challenge any creationist to a debate.
They'll run away and aggressively accuse you of "attacking" them and their "beliefs".
I'm sorry, please, keep teaching our kids that they'll burn in hell if they don't believe. Mutilate their genitals against their will while you're at it. Keep influencing politics and holding back vital scientific research.
I'll just keep my mouth shut to "respect" your "beliefs".

It would have been biased if we didn't take action.
Mugger has my full support.

And yes, flaming a leader warrants a bigger punishment.
That's fair. If you don't think so, think again.
Flame your boss or your co-worker?
Flame your teacher or your classmate?

I for one liked Rick, but fair is fair.
