In an episode of Ten Speed and Brown Shoe, one of the detectives poses as an Arab Shiek. In a clothing store, he was told that the price of a suite was $5K. His response was "What so cheap?" I suspect that I am not the poorest member but I am not far from it. I will begin acquireing the myriad items that I do not have but at the end of two week it is more likely than not that I will not have all of the minimum items but I will definitely try. My objective in playing RS is entertainment and rightly or wrongly I have never made a significant effort to accumulate wealth--especially for skill that are essentially purchased, which will hamper my purchasing power but like I said I will make the effort. -------------------- | ||||||

Also, I want to mage for my hybrid choice, but I have not done desert treasure. I like teleblocking durring raids. That means I do not need ancient staffs or as many death runes, but need maybe like 300-500 chaos, law, and death runes stocked up for teleblocking. --------------------   | ||||||

As for maging... that's a tough call. In f2p you would be ok of course. If you could have the rune requirement anyway - that way I don't have to work out a loop hole for you. Oh and a few notes for everyone: 1. If you already have the WG shirt and you recruited the most, you'll get a different prize of equivalent value. 2. Only Groedius has come forward to shoot footage. Yeah, ill get the 10 rune kites, I was just trying to cut costs since I already have obby shields and plan on using some for raids. Well, I suck at ranging, and I am pretty sure most people would appreciate another teleblocker at raids rather than another ranger. If you teleport in the wilderness in a BH world, you go to Edge, regardless of the teleport. So if we are PKing low level, people can still teleport. --------------------      | ||||||

However, I do have one thing to say: Several people have brought up the issue of money being tied up into raid sets, when it could be better used for merchanting capital or other things. So, how about this for a compromise: How about having an option of the above sets, or, say, half of that + 3 mill cash. As half of that gear equals around 2 mill, it wouldn't help you be a cheapscate; However, it would be useful for those poorer members or those who like to merchant(Just so long as the cash is in cash form by the raid time). It would mean that, if needed, a person could just pop over to the GE and buy a bunch of sets of whatever is -currently- needed, even if they would have otherwise run out of those. And, as you said, lordy, that gear is for 5 bad raids. It wouldn't be a "compromise", at least not that I can see; everyone would have at least 5 mill that would be usable towards gear, but some would have half as cash, and some wouldn't. --------------- Eugene, two things: One, you can already do what you want with the attendance editor. Simply select the ranks you want, all the settings you want, click "sort", then bookmark the page(or save the URL). Any time you load that URL, those settings will load up as the default. Two, I don't know. Last I looked at the ACP software, I couldn't really understand what exactly was happening. I also -just- got back from a second weekly trip in two weeks(I had one day back after my trip to Kansas), and on Tuesday, I start summer school.
