The poll is blatantly one-sided and in his cc Mod Mark has been talking as if it's genuinely going to happen - you can't help but pick up the excitement in his tone. Additionally, the inclusion of the Guinness World Records line (and its later removal) suggest to me that they are going for most online votes in a certain timeframe or something. Someone in Jagex's PR department needs a promotion for this idea. They're getting free publicity, it will intrigue/brick back old players, increase membership numbers in the short term, they have ads on that page will be making decent dollar, a potential world record, and they seem to be getting a wee bit of news coverage aswell on the MMO sites. I can slay Green Dragons, I can hunt for clues, I can walk to Clan Wars or Fist of Guthix or Stealing Creations. I can roam around the Mage Bank, buy Wilderness Capes, do Agility Training. I'm not an efficient PK'er or Merchanter. So, I have no use for this change of heart. --------------------

They have not "developed new techniques for combating macros" at all. They need the money. Think about it: Andrew Gower steps down as CEO (arguably a clue but if they were making good money why would he leave?) The BIG one: Jagex raises the price of subscriptions. They're basically trying to play it off cool and (somewhat) act like we're at their mercy, when really they're at our mercy. It's the real PKers that quit and hit them in the wallet. And as I stated in my previous post, cheaters (macros) ARE good for the RuneScape economy. It will make the game fun again too obviously. LASTLY: If you see anyone publicly speaking out against bringing free trade and old wild back, vote using their name -------------------- | ||||||||||||

I hear all this talk of "Oh, well I'd rather get loot from the newer BH system"- GUESS WHAT. THAT'S NOT THE WAY RS IS SUPPOSED TO BE. No offense to anyone.
