I have read the entire post and I am aware of our new 3-strike system. I know the three things that will earn me a strike.

But I literally cam't attend 50% most the time with work, university and extra-curriculum activities. Sometimes I make 5 wars in a row, sometimes I can't make any... I'm safe for a little while I guess though until I play rs again :s...

You don't have to feel like a waste of space
You're original, cannot be replaced
If you only knew what the future holds
After a hurricane comes a rainbow

Maybe you're reason why all the doors are closed
So you can open one that leads you to the perfect road

What constitutes RuneScape retired?

I'm in school currently, but during the summer I'm able to be active and help WG, but once school starts back up, that takes immediate priority. Would I have to take an active rank and then just be kicked since I'm not longer Staff, but was at one point? What is the ruling here?

I'm all for making sure people pull their weight, but you really are asking people to put WG before school and honestly that isn't fair. It might not be for every event, but to ask people to not do something that affects their real lives for a game is pretty ridiculous.

You can't compare your determination and abilities to others because people's priorities are different. To say that people should be willing to sacrifice portions of their real lives because you're able to do more than just that is like saying you should be able to lift several hundred pounds because body builders can lift more than that, or that because the best mathematicians can do the most complex math you could conceive of you should be able to do linear algebra and differential equations. It's illogical and absurd.

School comes first, regardless of importance to the grade. Homework is just as important as studying which is just as important as projects.

To punish someone for making sure their real lives are in order is plain wrong. To say that forfeiting an hour of studying won't do THAT much harm in the grand scheme of things is like saying taking a bullet to the hand won't do THAT much harm in the grand scheme of things. Had someone studied that hour maybe they'd better understand a concept that gets heavily tested on the big exam, but because they were busy warring with WG, they miss a lot of points, sure they pass but instead of an A, they get a B as a final grade for the course, and that can make the difference between getting into a tier 1 university and a tier 2 university in the US. Someone getting shot in the hand won't likely die from it, but their hand is still pretty fucked up after something like that. It's the principle.

I'm glad that WG is getting stricter, because it's needed this for a long time, I just don't really appreciate the fact that studying or doing school work is no longer a valid excuse to miss an event.

On the whole, I'm glad that WG is cracking down on this activity because it's pretty poor and I'd love to see the core of WG just win fights left and right because I know we're capable of it.

School work is a valid excuse to miss an event but when it's EVERY event then yeah, maybe then you're too busy to be in a clan.

Have to disagree on a few points outside of Emeritus. Mostly this goes to the current active members. If I can use the term active that lightly.

When you join WG you are making a commitment to spending time in the clan. There are many optional events, you don't have to do them. The important ones are the wars. You are required 3 wars a month to be considered active as was stated earlier. 3-5 hours of your time out of a month. Very little time.

If you have school and work that is one but most people should have a certain amount of time management skills. If you can't coordinate a schedule that can fit 3-5 hours within a month then I doubt the dedication there.

It makes me angry to feel I have to argue this. I feel such strong loyalty to this clan and a few hours should be able to be managed over a weekend. If that is impossible to do or you have higher priorities that is fine, but if you are a friend you are always a friend. Maybe just not a clan mate. I hate to be cruel in saying that, in fact I feel conflicted. I feel the conflict is staggering us and it has been since the majority of when I've been here. It isn't fair.

Leaders don't waver on this decision please. We need to be strong in our core. Even if that means some people leaving because they can't be active enough. They can still be friends just not WG. WG needs a level plain of active members. Otherwise the road is too rough and we've traversed enough rough terrain to deserve more.

I have to agree that just being friends is not enough to be in the clan. We treat our ex-members and friends with respect. I will use Maths/Gary for my example. He still hangs in our lobby and actively talks to all of us. I'd like him to be a WG member again, but he is to busy and not able right now. He made his decision based on what was best.

If you're finding yourself in a situation where you don't know what to do try talking to someone you trust to help you sort it out.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.

is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”

Kevin, I've made clear my intentions in my first post and I would like for you to read this here so everyone can know my stance on the situation which was misconstrued as an attack on Leadership's judgement.

<Kung_man149> I wasn't attacking the changes, I was questioning the reason behind it seeing as we've been doing really well without for the past few weeks/months and that one war decided this.

About fucking time someone steps up and does this.

I have read the entire post and I am aware of our new 3-strike system. I know the three things that will earn me a strike.
