I don't even know why we got involved in this in the first place. And if you're worried about DF or VR sending some spies in, just do some IP matching between the IPs of new intros and the IPs of RSC members; in order to see who that person really is. I think you can do that by asking Tmal or any other RSC mod just like TT did. -------------------- | ||||

I agree with the recruitment and intros 100% and was hoping this would have been implemented a LOOOOOONG time ago. With that said, I'm still sticking by my guns and morals when I say, "Who are we to judge what is no honor and what isn't? It's a fricken game. Play it how you want and let others play how they want." The sooner we get this through our thick skulls, the better off everyone will be....because I can think of quite a few members here who could be considered no honor, if I went by your standards. The old saying goes, "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." There had better not be any rocks thrown by anyone in this clan, I'll say that. Just let all the pansy nonsense go, continue bringing the clan down the path it's been on, and everything else will be great...including memberships. EDIT: I just wanted to say one thing about the DHBoy issue. G E N E, that's your fault. You should know better than anyone how Alex feels about you and WG. To include him in with other DF members who you may/may not get along with or like, is wrong on your part and I hope you've made amends to Alex for that. You two are far too good of friends to let something as stupid as this come between you. I think you need to do some soul searching to figure out the questions (whats and whys mostly) you hurt people who were once close to you. -------------------- | ||||

But the fact that you're contemplating helping TT shows that you're aware it's the right thing to do. During warfare, things get messy and people from both sides behave like animals. This is not a question of honor or not. Based on the event and talks there, it seems like its for something very personal between some individuals (VR and TT). No one seemed to find out who and why those at TT caused such fueds. Then it starts with taking this into a group affair and it becomes this hyperventilated rockboat. To join it based on the built up honor and no honor, moral debates is being from something this personal and mishandled...I'm sorry, it even sound silly at this stage. To bring a whole clan to fight over some personal grudges, especially of others, is one of the worse things to do. If you want to join it you're inviting more than you should handle, its not even a question of can or cannot. And this is one of those things that will never have a resolution. Once you dig into it, unless you love drama via actions, by all means. Just because everyone start picking sides doesn't mean you have to, the arguments has already went too far off-beat. And there's nothing "gung-ho" about it, just potentially questionable. It isn't right to hack into the forum or emails (personal) for sure but to take that into such level of cry-out is just speechless. Previous forums had been tampered with before, should we start declaring wars? I think I'd like to know the reason behind the tampering before making a decision. And even if its a naughty act, its silly and unnecessary to cause clan-wars. Much less to agree to it. If need be its better not to take sides and hope to offer appeasements appropriately. Things have started to spiral out of hand, into crashes, morals or not, honor or not, outcries why DF is doing this, talk of spies or fear of spies or inviting spies because of this. It is a game. And the kind that happens to have a lot of personal dramas that gets soaked into it unwittingly, the easiest thing is to let it get to you or even continue to let it take its hold....if there must be something to be done then indeed there's better things to do, like taking care of your own house that's just starting to grow and to see honor of something more than just wars. WG is an honorable clan and should support other honorable clans. However, WG should not crash events simply because another clan does so. Otherwise, we lower ourselves to their level and if they escalate and we follow suit where will it end. Also, it is infuriating to be flamed not only once but multiple times in multiple places but it is only words and who is the better person the one who responds in a positive mature manner or considering the source, does not respond at all or who conversely like Johnny Storm in essence says "Flame ON" (sorry Johnny). You do need to tighten up the application and vetting process. To be honest, I found the willingness of people to add me to their chat and support my application truly surprising. My experience in RS suggests that you need to "get to know someone" before you add them to your chat. However, many of you offered to add me after only a short time and I sincerely thank you for your unconditional offers of friendship. However, those who would do WG harm may exploit your openness and ingrate themselves for the purposes of obtaining sensitive information so additional due diligence is needed. I fully support future efforts to more fully vet applicants but I do not believe WG should limit applicants to friends of WG members. You could expedite applications for friends of members and implement a more thorough application review process for outsiders including multiple member interviews. A number of members chatted/interviewed me and I enjoyed chatting with them. Of course, IF I was a spy I could be expected to lie and try to say the right things but I suspect that if interviewed a number of times there would likely be "holes" in my story and things would not add up. Also, limiting access to sensitive topics like raids till the last minute for trial guardians could help in determining where a leak came from and reduce the time value of the spy's access to sensitive information. Also, I think Joe would be a great security officer and WG probably needs at least one or more.  -------------------- | ||||

This seems to be about our role in the "Clan Community", whether or not we should meddle in the interactions between other clans. I think not!
