I went there and stayed at the Hotel Sofitel in Hanoi, there's facilities, its nice and service's good. It depends on where you're staying and which part of the city, travelled there twice, some places you should avoid (it isn't safe) other than that, there's night life, pubs and clubs. Places you find nice exotic Vietnam restaurants, USD$30 and you can feed 10 people in a night with 5 bottles of French wine. Seriously. Been to another 3-star before, not too bad, except for people spitting and gawking in the morning. Maybe, because its a fixed trip and all. Could be the location, totally no idea where you are but Hanoi either scares you or fascinates, in a peculiar way. If you even read this eventually. What else? Don't be bored, I guess? P.S.
