It doesn't make sense to release IC after Cataclysm, just because Arthas is basically the "promised" final boss in WotLK. Although I can see how it could happen the other way, it just won't. Blizzard is expected to release IC before Cataclysm, and I'm sure thats what they'll do.

Why don't they just call it WoW:Aion? That's all it is... I mean come on, they only announced it because Aion is being released next month. Blizzard is scared, as well they should be.

Nope. No one gives a shit. Honestly the fanaticism you have against WoW is a little pathetic. All because you played for maybe 3 hours and disliked it.

Give it a rest m8; Aion is a game and WoW is a game. Blizzard didn't roll out of bed the day before Blizzcon and go "omg check out this new game, we should copy that." They've been working on this stuff for years; the fact that AION was released right around Blizzcon is just NCsoft's fail.

I think I might enjoy playing Aion. But I'm invested in WoW and I don't plan on quitting since they've got some fantastic stuff in the works. I've only got so much time for gaming. happy.gif

PS: I got six achievements (Champion of Gnomeregan, Exalted Champion of Gnomeregan, Champion of the Alliance, Exalted Champion of the Alliance, Exalted Argent Champion of the Alliance, Ambassador of the Alliance) and three titles (Ambassador, Crusader, and "of Gnomeregan") last night, as well as my first piece of t9.25 (shoulders). Woohoo!

This. You do realize Blizzcon is where they announce just about every game that they've been planning, right? And the date for blizzcon has been set in stone for probably a year now, if I were to guess. So no, it wasn't announced "because Aion is being released next month."

I haven't checked out the game but with all the hype its getting, it probably is going to be good. Rather than being a fanboy I'll admit maybe WoW does have some competition. But then again, that's what we all thought with Age of Conan, and look where that ended up. So it could go either way. I doubt you'll have many WoW players quitting for a new game when they are perfectly satisfied where they are.

Out of curiosity, since you know the game (Aion) far better than I do, what exactly is WoW "stealing" from Aion? Serious question, not trying to prove you wrong or anything. I'd actually like to know.

I'll most likely quit wow for aion, but ranma, You are pretty close minded and have no idea what a good game is if you think wow isn't a good game.

Guild Wars was a good game, Aion will be a good game, but if you think Wow isnt a good game, then you are pretty concieted and have no idea what the game play is like in wow, the game only gets good at about level 35ish with the instance Scarlet Monastery(easy instance, but lots of fun). The fact is, even if you played wow now, you would still hate it just becuase you refuse to like it, grow up.

LOLOLOLOL AIONS SO GUD LYKE O EM G I GET TEH UBER CHAR CUSTOMIZATIONZ AND UBER GRAFIKZ WITH AION THO.

Graphics don't make a game, the content does, and while Wow is lagging from previous patches atm, the content in wow is much better than pretty much every game out there atm..... and this is where i can make my comment, WOW is the Best MMO on the market to date. Sorry its true, if you don't like it suck someones dick, there are other good mmo's out there, and wow does get boring, but wow's system is still better than any1 else's to date.

I'm just waiting for some gamer to get a billion dollars and make a REALLY good game. I like the graphics from Aion/GW2, I like the gameplay from WoW, and I like the combat mechanics from D&DO. Is putting them all together in one game REALLY that hard? tongue.gif

The Star Wars MMO looks decent, but I don't know how they can incorporate an end game, or good pvp....I think its basically going to be a single Player game, idk tbh, I have no idea how to incorporate an end game into it, I don't see a possibility of having a tank or healer, idk though.

Yes because they have never released or hyped up an expansion or update when another game has come out... Lol you guys mad?

Not to mention, Kiwi, when did I ever say graphics make the game... You think I don't fucking know that? I'm a game programmer, but of course you know more than me, it's only my job... Just because WoW couldn't hold my attention long enough for me to get to the "good part" is plenty of reason for me to call it a bad game. The game should be able to keep people playing regardless of level, meaning I should have had no reason to feel bored. One last thing, I am entitled to my fucking opinion, as are all of you. I know WoW isn't truly a bad game, in the grand scheme of gaming, however to me it is horrible.

Edit: For the record, all my opinions of WoW are coming from someone who has done everything possible in the game and has played it since the games release... While I may not have played the game, if someone who has agrees with me, I can't be too far off eh?

Lol Kiwi, you mad?

I'm entitled to think what ever I want, as are you. You can not say my opinion is wrong, because an opinion can not be wrong because it is just that, an opinion. What I think is what I think, what you think is what you think. Hell I even admitted that WoW was in fact a good game, if my opinion there is wrong you have just called wow a bad game.

All your post proves is that you are childish and apparently must have your way. Honestly, a few jokes about a game you like and you people got batshit insane...

Ranma, I respect you and whoever your other information source's opinion. I think the reason why there are a few getting frustrated or mad at your opinions because you're bringing them up in a thread which is obviously filled with people who enjoy the game. You have to admit, it's not exactly the best place to talk about how Aion might be better than WoW.

There's highs and lows to all games. It just so happens that lower levels in WoW aren't as great in the end-game PoV. Your friend might also be in the entire group that doesn't like how the game changes from BC to WotLK. I think most of the people who have this view haven't even done everything in the game, ask your friend if he's defeated Yogg - 0 (Alone in the Darkness). Many high end raiders do enjoy the hard mode system, there will always be those who don't. But the game has changed for better or for worse and it's here to stay. If there's a way to appeal to both the "casual" and hard-core" type of players, Blizzard will find it eventually. They're not stupid, they know what they're doing.

Didn't notice your question. A few things that I have noticed coming to WoW after Aion's announcement they added a "remodel" armor feature abilities auto-scale on level up, and archeologist profession to find relics to advance your character further (AKA STIGMA). There are a couple more similarities that I could find but I forget what they are atm.

My room mate would also like me to let you know he has defeated Yogg, and he would also like me to add this is before they nerfed him.

Christ Ranma, you're acting like Blizzard fuels their servers with kitten entrails and the bastardized dreams of cute little children. Stop trolling and go play the damn game you like so much.

PS: Killing Yogg-Saron before Blizzard nerfed him is a commendable achievement. I'm entirely missing how that's relevant but kudos to him and his guild.

It was a question I asked, Eregion. Was this Yogg0 (Alone in the Darkness) pre-nerf? That's something only 300 people (twelve guilds) before the 3.2 nerfs.

I'll give you archeology, but that armor feature has been around for awhile in WoW, its not new with Cataclysm.

You mistake me for someone who has a problem with WoW players, which I do not. I have a problem with the game not being able to entertain me. That is all. Have you not been reading? That is why I think it is a bad game, because it isn't interesting at lower levels. You've also not read that my room mate is now bored of the game and him and his guild are coming to Aion.
