Why would I compare a Ret's control to my own? I could compare an apple to an orange because it's accomplishing the same thing. With that said, Ret definitely needs some changes to bring it up to par. It's just that those changes should have nothing to do with control.

Because they are two dps classes?

Frost mages have too much control. Hell, i have one and I admit it. My best friend has glad every season on his frost mage and laughs about how much BS it is.

Yeah, I admit it too. Frost Mages have tons of control, Frostbite should be removed and there should be a more efficient way to gain Fingers of Frost procs because of it. But that's just the strength of the class, it's why you spec Frost.

Warriors are known for their MS and UA. Rets are known for their utility through Hand spells and dispels. Rogues for stun-locks. Shamans for lust. It's the signature of the spec you choose, every class in the game has their own signature, Frost just happens to be it's control.

Talking 3s here since 2s is far from balanced at this point, the Mages position in the team is to set-up kills. The Mage is what makes situations happen (or not happen). That's because of the classes ability to control the battlefield. In return we have relatively medicore, RNG-based damage. Now don't get me wrong, you have the opportunity to land a double crit Shatter and it's awesome damage. I have a 66% chance to crit, subtract about 15% from resilience and I'm back down to 50%. Those double crits are awesome, but it's just as likely to get two non-crit spells off.

You know what I think is a "gay" comp? PHD, TSG. I also know that every class has a way to counter another and every fight can be beaten even though at times it's an uphill battle.

Got in on the guild first server 2nd heroic Saurfang kill. Got my final protector token too, 4/4 sanctified now. Stayed in the raid for our heroic Princes and heroic Blood Queen kills as well, before sitting out for heroic Dreamwalker.

Sup 9/12 heroic.

Roflstomped heroic Plague Wing tonight, one shot Fester and 2 shot Rotface (Fuck that fight on heroic). Did 6 attempts on heroic Putricide just to get a feel for the fight, and lemme just say, holy fucking dogshit.

2 shot LK, would've been a 1 shot but we had our usual dispeller absent and our healers forgot to cover down lol.

Polearm dropped, went to the other hunter, next one is mine. Then we went and 2 shot 1 Light in the Darkness 25 man, and did Iron Dwarf Medium Rare too, so a few people got ironbounds.

Also, last night, our progression 10 man got frost wyrms.

Just one lockout for both the 10/25M versions of a raid, equalizing the difficulty between the two, and letting them both drop the same loot (25M just drops more). And heroic versions will be picked on a fight-by-fight basis like in ICC, so now everyone can raid a raid just once a week, instead of four times like ToC.
