You'll need some technical skills, like knowing how to:

Burn an ISO file to make an install DVD (A good example of what we mean by “technical”)

Install Windows (of course)
o

Backup and restore your PC (There's a chance of losing files, so it's a good idea to do a backup of anything you want to save.)
o

Set up a network

It can be glitchy—so don't use a PC you need every day.

Redid mine once again. Dual monitors now!

Got rid of all the resource hogging crap that did nothing but look fancy and slow everything down(COUGH OBJECTDOCK AND DESKTOP SIDEBAR COUGH), so now I'm down to a taskbar(with desktop folders/icons in a nice little menu) and Winamp. Also replaced windowblinds with a simple msstyle shell theme for the taskbar. No memory was hogged in the making of this desktop.

LEFT DESKTOP = 1280*800
RIGHT DESKTOP = 1440*900
thus the space at the bottom of the left screen.

* note screenshot is smaller than the actual because the site I normally use to upload huge images is down. ><

+ on Tuesday my teacher is bringing his Windows 7 equipped laptop in to show off to us. I'll know after that if I'll be getting it or not

Using that UXTheme Multi-Patcher seems a lot better then window blinds.

I just like that theme. I imported it from AlienGuise to WindowsBlinds, so yeah.

I am on 1280x800.

MSStyles, it's done actually editing the Windows shell rather than using a third party program. Very effecient and Very awesome. start by downloading this patch:

doesn't vista have it's own system for customizing ur desktop? i thought that was alot more open to manipulation on vista.

Nobody has ported SlanXP 2 to vista, but someone ported SlanXP 3 and Slantrast (colored version)
