Okay, well usually I know how to solve these things myself but I've been persistently trying and nothing but failure. I've Guitar Hero III (+Aerosmith) for the PC since about a week ago (And haven't returned it yet surprisingly tongue.gif). So I'm just trying to figure out what I can do to fix the problem. Basically I try running the games (they're already installed) and I can hear my disk drive going and for a good 10 seconds nothing happens and then for a SPLITSECOND the game opens in the bottom bar (in windows XP) and closes almost as quick as it appears.
And yeah... I've already tried the following:
-Updating disk drive firmware
-Asking the tech support for Guitar Hero (Aspyr, they suck, slow and know nothing smile.gif )

So WG, show me what you got.

What are the specs of you're computer? I had a game a while back that would start up in the tray, screen would turn black and then it would just go back to as if I had never attempted to run the game. I think it was due to not having a good enough video card.

I have above all the minimum plus recommended system requirements.

CPU - Intel Core2Duo 2.4ghz
Video Card - EVGA 8800 GTS 640mb
RAM - 2Gb Corsair Dominator

etc. etc..... I should easily be able to run the game no problem. I can run crysis, fallout 3, u name it. Just this game, uhggg.

Can you run other versions of the game? Like GH3 or GH2?

I don't know. I only have Guitar Hero III and Guitar Hero Aerosmith as I said, and neither will run. Both are installed however.
