Vote, and then scroll down to read my post. Be honest, we aren't going to track the IP of who voted, etc. and kick you from the clan...

After you vote, look down and read! 8===D ~~~~

Its no secret. Lots of WG don't want to raid. Instead of voicing your opinions, many of you would prefer to just stay quiet and ditch / leave/ not attend raids and wars. I'm not talking about people that don't go to any at all. They get kicked from the clan. I'm talking about the people that actually ask themselves if they're going on a raid or not. You hold us back. WG is one of the only clans that does decently in the wilderness who's member base doesn't want to contribute to success. Of course you claim you "want the best for WG." Prove it.

Girls and boys, many of you think we're out to get you. You might want to think about what we give you first... Elias fucking built this whole clan for 5 years and made an awesome, free thinking community of people. You have no idea how many kids pm me with just a wish to be in #wg, jealous of our nonsensical "lul pns" and "no u" fights, etc. People are jealous of the fun we have in there. We also give you these forums. Seriously, these forums are rarely SERIOUS BIZNES. Go to View New Topics. Most are either comedic based topics, or topics that have to do with RuneScape or Real Life. It isn't like "OH MY GOD YOU GUYS SUCK GET 120 F2P COMBAT WITHIN TWO DAYS OR YOU'RE KICKED." I know you guys have fun on IRC and forums, whether you want to admit it or not.

What does Council, Elias, and the clan ask for in return? We ask that you actively contribute to our warring side. We want your full support and loyalty. You guys give yourselves to each other everyday, making friendships etc. You say you appreciate the clan, but people still turn the other cheek and happen to be AFK during all of our raids and short preparation wars. We don't' do 5 hour PKRI's and force you to put your social life to the side of this game. A few times a week, we go out together and take out other teams in the wilderness. Sometimes, the fights are planned and its an active competition. There's a reason I don't accept 3 hour capped fights with other clans. We don't' have the gas for it, and I wouldn't give everyone a headache for an RSC post like that. We CAN, however, fight and do our best and fight for 45 minutes to an hour.

People say their banks stops them from helping. To be honest, I find this a bullshit reason. Making a few rune sets is not exactly rocket science. Its hella easy and you know it. Everyone in this clan is 100 + F2P. Hell, the AVERAGE is 116 F2P. Hmm. Just from that level, I can tell everyone in this clan has committed to training combat at one point. You may have even no lifed to get here. 99 attack, strength, and defense takes 450+ hours of game time. You've put in at least 100 hours of combat if you're level 100. Don't tell me you can't scrap together 1,000,000 gp. That's bullshit. Put in 2-3 hours and you can get that easy, even with friends. Do godwars and you'll average 400k+ an hour and have fun with friends. A lot of people think they're dedicated, but can't lose money for the clan that you SO DEEPLY LOVE. "But I have other runescape goals." Seriously, is runescape that much more important to you than your clan? I would seriously recommend you evaluate yourself and your situation here if the answer is yes.

This brings me to my next point in my rant. If money is really that much of a problem, hell, I'll help you out. Bring a green dragonhide body, a rune longsword, and a rune square shield instead of the "regular gear." It'll save you money and let you return more times. If you don't let the money bother you, pvp is fun. When I joined WG, Mustangred1 made me go to a matched options war. I was the second pile and I died. I tried to run to single and failed. I lost full rune and nearly quit the clan. Cody talked to me and I realized that it really wasn't that bad, even though it was most of my bank.

Seriously guys. We are too passive when it actually comes down to serious time. If you ever noticed, there are two times where I am serious. The first is during a raid or warring. I mean business. If we are gonna kick ass, we need to be united. Of course I'll still make fun of kids sexual preferences and lack of lives, lul. The other time is when you piss me off, which is hard to do. Be a racist, be a sexist, be anti gay, be anti semetic, and you'll find yourself on your knees with my massive e-genitals down your throat.

Kudos. Sorry for the long post, but I needed to get this off my chest.

Now some pictures to lighten the mood!

Um, yeah.
My name is Gene again.

The whole concept of raiding may seem trying to some people.
The leaders are doing what they can to make them more enjoyable.
Recruitment is high on our list of priorities, and we're not losing as much rune as most other clans.

So I don't see any reason for members not to enjoy raids.
I have great fun on them.

Smurf.

I chose the one where I lyke raids n stuff

Honestly, I do love to raid and war. Pvp is the only thing I really enjoy doing in RS anymore.

Sometimes I have trouble with raids though. The main problem is that I hardly play RS anymore so I don't make much money and losing sets is not something I enjoy doing. I usually can only return about once. But I love wars. I will do anything I can do to get to a war.

I admit when we had Wildy Pk's they were amazing(guessing raids now are also). The only problem I ever had was making money as I could never get enough money to do GWD a lot, etc to make money.

I personally am a skiller and don't do a lot of PKing (last Sunday was my first time in a couple years). I also can't promise I will be at "every" megaraid (now that I have actually seen the times they are at) if it is AUS. But, I will have the sets ready if you happen to have a raid I can make.

I have a lot of reading to do it seems and who knows, maybe that guide showing how to eat will help to wink.gif But I will be there for other clan members.

It's a mixed bag for me.

Personally, I love P2P Raids and Wars, it's just that most of the time they're at 3AM for me, and I try to stay up, but at that time I just want to go to sleep, not raid for another hour.

F2P on the other hand for me, is just plain boring. It's a lot of praying and running. Get piled, slap on pray, and run. If you're not being piled, pile someone. That's about it.

I hybrid, mostly because it changes things up. I have to swap robes with Rune, bind and attack. That is fun. That is exciting. Running, clicking attack, and then just running after someone isn't fun at all.

There are obviously techniques that make F2P a little more "challenging" but it's mostly hugging and eating techniques.

I believe that the key to making the raids successful is the way they come across. Stick to what we're able to handle, and go on a raid-by-raid basis. If we pull low opts, stick to low level wild. Med opts, maybe mossies or something. High opts, deep wild. We do that, we can handle ourselves a little easier. We can be successful, and we can show that our raids don't blow. People will realize that we're not really losing that much Rune in the scope of things.

What it really all comes down to though, is preference. I personally love PvP stuff. I don't PK, and I'm not a Raid Leader or anything because I don't have those skills. But every once in a while, I'll gear up and solo PK at GE or something. I'll toss out some cash at the Duel Tournaments or play FoG. It's fun. It really is.

I'll probably write more a bit later, I'm not thinking my best right now.

I'm going to be completely honest. Whenever someone says RS PvP, this is what I see:

user posted image

The risk of losing cash/dying doesn't bother me at all, or the time it takes to raid. It's just that, to me, PvP is more boring as my neurologically-challenged marketing professor. We spend 30 minutes massing to go out and wander around doing completely random stuff, then we get in a fight and people are like "Yeah excitement!" and I'm like 'nope ... still boring'.

I'd like to see fun PvP fights. Varrock Sewers, an organized event where teams of 10 players each all begin in a single (large) area and find each other/fight to the finish, single-combat wars, anything like that would be really interesting to me. The general response I get is "that wouldn't work" WELL THEN MAKE IT WORK IF YOU WANT ME TO BE THERE!

I'll even help if I can, I've tried by making like three threads in the last few weeks about how to make PvP more interesting and involved. But I seriously cannot bring myself to attend a current raid or war, I'd rather spend an equal amount of time stabbing myself with a blunt letter opener and I'd get about as much enjoyment out of it.

Just my .02 unsure.gif

My option would be:

I don't enjoy pvp/raids because I usually feel hated by the clan and get frustrated and just leave. (BTO and Groedius are the exceptions to this. They are always willing to help me and are encouraging all the time. Never a harsh word. Thanks.)

The few people that try to talk to me out of the raid situation are Dave, Petester, Ray and Joe. Willing to evaluate without attacking. Thanks guys.

Bam is awesome for what he has done to help me.

Edit: Almost forgot to say Glenn is most awesome warlord ever and I love you. wub.gif

I'd prefer skilling, but if a raid/war is going on (Especially a war or PKRI) I'm there 90% of the time.

Honestly, I don't always enjoy raiding. We go out, I usually don't get kills, I usually get killed, and we do the exact same thing every time. This doesn't mean that I don't go to raids, but this means that I don't try my hardest to make a raid. If a war or PKRI comes from a raid, I will show up, but I have found myself not wanting to raid for a few of the reasons above. Sometimes it just is not fun for me.

And for those that say "go train", just shut up. I have been trying to train a bit everyday with my ability to play during weekdays now. I don't always have "x" amount of hours to just spend on training, because I am also trying to make roughly 12m. My training method is through slayer, which I am sure you know, is not the fastest way. If there is a level that I really want, then I will go to zombies or something, but that is very rare.

Overall, good post. Maybe we can get some varied opinions from this.

Anyone who was around Wg back when i was here, knows i hate skilling and i hate ANYTHING other than Raiding.

And what used to piss me off was i WOULD ATTEND THE THINGS I HATED! Like fishing trawler etc!! and yet the skillers wouldn't go to the pks!

The only thing holding us back from being good is a lack of numbers and a lack of Organisation (It's been terrible lately =/).

Pking is fun, if you die alot theres ways to avoid this, like practising how to tank, hiding your bind gear, training your def/hp, training your range to a high lvl so that if you die, you lose less cash.

Theres many ways to avoid pkin being expensive, for instance p2p pkin can be VERY profitable at a very low risk.

Wayne you should go on more p2p raids then, espcially at Rune Rocks lots of pkers hang there and it's single at the rocks with multi either side, thats good as if you got more numbers they stay in single and thus u get what u want with the single combat.

But im going to say for me PERSONALLY P2P>F2P i dont care were/how its TONS more fun than F2p.
