OK congratulations WG on stabilizing.
No more mass leavings.
We've fixed the immediate problem.
We're cruising along pleasantly right now.

So now we need to focus on the next step.
When those members leaving, we need some fresh blood.
The obvious thing is mass recruitment.
That's what I'm going for.

I'm going to go full on and bring some new faces in here.
We can handle it, and frankly, we need it.
Please make it your mission to see that intros make it all the way to graduation.
Referrals also remain the strongest form of recruitment.
Really, recruitment is the main thing.
Everything will pick up once we recruit.

Event leaders, perhaps a recruitment style event.
Say, an after-raid ending event like a cabbage bomb and stuff?

The activity rate is reasonable.
Any more and we might be pushing too hard...
But we will be making sure everyone is pulling their weight.

Recruitment is more difficult than ever.
With so many clans around, it's hard to remain competitive.
We have to keep trying.
My recruitment video is taking AGES to make, given my busy schedule.
In fact I'm rather stressed about trying to juggle so many aspects of my life.

We will have to wait a while.
In the meantime, we'll come up with an alternate recruitment method.
I'll have a leader start making a recruitment team.

Maybe we can just parade around RuneScape recruiting? Then the so-called recruitment team, can make sure that they make it to the forums, intro, apply, and stay active enough.

I advise anyone who is training to ask whoever is there if they're in a clan (or use IRC) and tell them about us. I think the best way would be to get them curious, rather than:

"Hey, want to join a clan?"
"Maybe."
"Join ours, we're really good!" - If we're so good, why say this?
"Oh, is that so?"
"Yeah, here's our website *site*."
"OK" - probably won't do anything

I say just toss out things that we do;
- weekly events makes us appear active
- raids/pking trips this is always a factor
- non-pvp events as well if that isn't their forte
- great community always nice to boast

Basically, don't grovel or beg, but say things that will leave them with thoughts like:
"You know, that sounded really fun."
"I like how that sounds, seems interesting."
"That sounds like something I'd love to do."

Just my two cents.

I try to do this when I can when I'm training. I aim for people 103+ because it's pretty easy to get 105, and we start to build a bond with the person even before they apply. They get support from the clan even before they're a part of it, and hopefully that forges some sort of a connection.

I'll be trying to work some people into the clan. It might take some assistance from other members though. Maybe spur of moment stuff like gwd with the clan and the people I'm recruiting or something.

Good to see a plan of action. Lets all do our best with recruitment, I know we can easily get 20+ new faces in here soon.

Well said Lordy,

I have one question,

How can we successfully recruit when we have not clearly defined ourselves?

I am concerned about mass recruitment. Yes, we may be able to handle it theoretically, but in the end if you push too many new faces in here at once the personalized touch of a community will become chaotic for them.

I am talking with everyone I see while slaying who is clanless. So far, I have gotten two maybes and have also been recruiting on the RSB.

After the fairly large dip in our Ml recruitment should only be second to getting Wg's name out.

I think ive convinced 2-3 friends in joining.

I say instead of having one mentor to each mentee, we assign 2-3 kids to each trial guardian. (mentors would get multiple mentees too) this way they can feel way more welcomed and will learn the meaning of attending pk's , etc.

Recruitment is needed for WG to thrive. The members that we have right now must be friendly and helpfull to new people. A few days ago a intro was in irc needing help with a screenshot of 5 members. A sad thing is that not many people noticed what was going on, I had to announce that a person needed 5 people for his application in the main chat. Still then, my request for his help was ignored and placed as a 2nd choice to a conversation. If we want new dedicated members then we are going to have to bend over backwards to get them. Guys, lets work harder next time please? New members should be a first priority at the moment.
