I've actually placed an ad for it on a classified's site and I was wondering how much you guys think I should sell it for. This is what I wrote: I have a Dell Vostro 1500 it's about a year and a half old. Dell released it as their small business laptop line. Originally bought it as a laptop I could game with but now my needs for such a PC have changed. It's in great condition, screen is flawless. There's just the normal wear and tear from me typing on the keyboard. Here are the specs: Intel Core 2 Duo T7300, 2.0GHz, 800MHz FSB, 4M L2 Cache 256MB Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT 3GB DDR2, 667 MHz 9-Cell Lithium Ion Battery (4 hours of power with average use. I've had up to 6.) 120GB SATA 5400rpm Hard Drive Windows Vista Business (32-bit) Integrated High Definition Audio 2.0 8x Double-layer DVD+W and DVD+/-RW 15.4 inch Wide Screen XGA + LCDTruelife 2 Mega Pixel Webcam with stereo array microphones. 10/100 Broadcom 440 Lan Card IntelPRO 3945(a/g) WLan Card Bluetooth 2.0 with enhanced data rate (EDR) The remainded of a 3 year extended on-site warranty, with next day parts and labour. Ports and I/O: 4 USB 2.0 1 SD/MMC MS/PRO Card reader 1394 Port VGA Headphones Microphone PCIMA slot -------------------- ![]() ![]()

Since it's a year old PC, and used you're probably looking at 1/4 to 1/5 of the original price, just because you could easily get a laptop with better specs at half the price you paid originally. Selling used computers, regardless of brand is always tough because you can't really get much. I'd say $400-500 maybe? That's just a guess. -------------------- ![]() ![]()

I also looked on sites for 2nd hand laptops and refurbished laptops and those around the specs of yours was around $400 - $500 so you could quite easily get 400 for it or so id said if you wanted an quick easy sale. ALSO Make sure you clean the hard drive properly with software if you need help with this then PM me. -------------------- ![]() ![]()

Before taxes and shit, this laptop was $1800 but I got a discount which put it down to $1600. I have 1 email regarding the laptop right now, I don't know if it'll actually amount to anything. It still has at least a year of full parts and labour warranty. -------------------- ![]() ![]()

Well georgio mate go for it if you can get 1200 for it but i wouldnt know if you would get that much my new laptop has slightly better specs then that and it would have cost around 1200 USD so i would have thought that yours was worth somewhat less then that maybe around the 800 mark. See if you can get some1 to buy it at that price if not then try around 1k then 800 i think for around 1k you could get a buyer. -------------------- ![]() ![]()

I made the asking price at $1200 in case someone wanted to negotiate with me over the price. I'm not really seriously thinking of selling my laptop, just more curious to see if I can get a buyer at this price. If I do end up selling it, I'm trying to squeeze as much out of it as I can. I'd probably replace this thing with a macbook. Groe, I know there's tons of low level hard drive erasers but is there one that you recommend? -------------------- ![]() ![]()

I'd say you'd between $700-$1000 for that easily ![]() Heck if I had that sort of cash I'd buy it off ya ![]() ![]() -------------------- ![]() ![]()
