Don't know if anyone has a solution for me, or knows where I can get what I need, but here goes.

I didn't think this would be something difficult to figure out just by searching for it, but I'm having a rough time getting what I'm looking for. I'm not looking for a regular drop down menu.

Basically, I have a set of buttons on the left side of my page, and I'm supposed to turn these into a menu that drops down from a link at the top of the page. I want people to get a menu of links, or buttons, or an image map, when the mouse is over it.

Similar to what Ebay has when you move your mouse over the Categories link (www.ebay.com).

I don't really know where to start with this. Thanks for the help

Yeah you need to use Javascript and use an Mouseover event so that when the mouse hovers over the menu bar the other bottoms drop down then you can click which 1 you want i did somewhat succeed in doing it for a horizontal bar I could try help you but I am no master of Javascript and it is most likely different for a veritcal menu bar.

Scripting languages are quite easy to pick up...at least they should be anyways. I'm learning a new scripting language for work called Tcl or "Tickle". I've pretty much worked through half of the basics of the scripting language semantics/syntax in about an hour.

For Javascript, it's been around for a lonnnnnnnng time so I'm sure you should be able to find some source code for menus. You might have to stick in a bit here and there but it shouldn't be too extensive.

Actually, I got a 30 day free trial of Sothink, and right now it's working well for me. Hopefully I should be set.
