i dunno what the cause of it is but sometimes i can go days without pinging out once, then there are days where i ping out ever 30 minutes so consistantly and accurately that it scares me.

any thoughts?

I unplug my modem for like 20 minutes and restart it.
Apparently it resets something, idk though.

Seems to work for me, I had the same problem.

20 minutes is a little excessive, I would leave it unplugged for about 5 minutes and then test it, if its still not working, you can try 20 minutes, but its likely a problem on the ISPs end and not just one with your current connection.
