Or just a cleff in your hands, either way, the note you've chosen isn't really iconic for music, I'd have gone for a quaver. -------------------- | ||

Originally I had a piece of music I'd written on the stave, and I was holding a treble clef, and later on a quaver. I found the semibreve works the best with my hand position. Notes on the stave made the thing way too polluted so they were removed. -------------------- | ||

While the staves blend in really nicely with the picture, the note just looks like it's been pasted on, if you get what I mean. Theory - make it red or a good stand-out colour and add some effects - a flare, glow, magic dust... without notes on the staff it's physically cluttered but metaphorically bland, and you want to portray it so that the note or symbol you're holding is symbolical for the quality of the works you can produce. --------------------   | ||
