Have to agree, that graphics chip sucks big time (it won't play RSHD with Anti-Alaising).

The warranty is pretty shit too hashdown.gif.png

Yeah, that graphics chip isn't the greatest. Also is there any way to get DDR3 RAM instead of DDR2?

The cheapest laptop I found for my brother with DDR3 memory from Dell was the Studio XPS 13. It's also probably my favourite pick at the moment also. Most Mac's now have DDR3 as well now. Dell is just starting to roll out models with it.

I'd always recommend a Mac before any PC, but that's just my preference.

Since he said he wanted work AND games, I just nixed the Mac since they're not really gaming machines...yet.

Yeah, look into Dell laptops. I've usually had decent luck with them, and the customer support was top notch when I needed it.

Oh heck, no way. So long as it has an Intel processor and decent video card, just run windows. There you go - decent gaming machine.

My mom's desktop-mac seems to work decently for games when running windows XP; not as good as my custom-built PC, but then again its basically built using laptop components.
