I'm not going to beat around the bush. I am leaving.

I am more than likely going back to Autark ( they have not offered me anything so if I go back will be as a trial member) due to my friends and myself enjoying f2p. WG is a great clan filled with many a wondrous members but I myself am too energetic and love to go out in groups more than we do now. The last 2 Aussie raid's I've stayed up all night thinking we were going to go, but alas only to have no one to lead or not enough people. And yes skills are okay, and the 1 week of Olympics was nice, but we totally cast out pvping that week, I know it's only 1 week a year but for as many pvp'rs there are here that's a long time to not do anything but skill, mix thing's up a bit more! Then we didn't do the TS meeting for which "oh there's nothing to talk about but Olympics so were not having it". Members have things to talk about? We have our problems and such, but seems that wasn't taken into consideration.

WG is a nice community, and when you raid it's godly epic, but it's just not for me. I've tried to force myself to enjoy skilling as much as some of you do, but I'm more into the pvp & minigames. Your gaining active members and such so you are on that roll back up but you need to get some things dealt with. You have tons of active people on during the est/gmt day time, but you don't have anything for them to do so they wonder about.

I have always and will always like WG, it taught me some valuable things in P2P pvp that I don't think I could of learned anywhere else and it has one of the nicest communites I've EVER had the chance of being in.

Best of luck to all of you in life and in game.

Your friendly neighborhood raid whore...

~ Wizard.

I think over the last week due to the skill Olympics people have been busy skilling and there have been a lack of raid, this will hopefully get sorted out soon. I would stay for a bit and see if the raiding activity increases as if it does you may regret leaving.
Other than that you have been a great active member and it's a shame to see you leaving, and i wish you the best of luck in the future.

that is just the most ridiculous reason to leave mate.
When we're not in a skill olympics week, we sometimes raid 4times a week. Currently we only got 2 raid leaders and one of them is a wowfag wich doesn't help but we are trying to get him back and other had a unlucky irl happening wich is very understandeable. Dont speak before you know the whole lot. There SHOULD and WILL be another raid leader.
Dont give up man

Yeah i really think you should reconsider, now that the olympics are over we should be back to raiding 3-4 times a week, the aussie raid never really got much attention - perhaps we should try find a better time for that?

But yea hope you do decide to stay, best of luck in autark if not

Good Luck Randy W. It was nice to chat to you.

I wanted to have the ts meeting last week, but your right for the reason we were given. I'll be more conscious now in the future to hold them at least twice a month. Weekly leads to not much to talk about right now.

I had suggested a shorter time for the skill Olympics, but with the time the staff puts into all the preparation it really wouldn't be fair to them. I'm pretty sure we had a few raids this week. We had a skilling pk trip that Vephy hosted.

It was bull shit to cast out pvp'ing completely while skill olympics was on, I was pissed people were practically forced to sign up for a damn skill, i didn't want to do it for one reason: i can't commit to something i hate doing, such as skilling for a lengthy period of time. "Pete ffs sign up to any skill" I got spammed to sign up.

Now Wiz, instead of leaving i would of posted something in the suggestions/complaints forum, I agree with you on all points to be honest, but stick around, atleast for a week or 2, see if it improves.

As people have said, the reason there was barely any PVP activity, presumably, was due to the skill olympics. I'd also say that it wasn't necessary to cut it off completely, but its finished now.

Don't know how long you've been in, but when i came back from uni there was a PVP trip literally every day, and a well-attended one at that. It was quality. And i'm sure that'll be the case again, but maybe less frequent. Aussie raids are a bit tricky, as it usually gets a bad turnout. But when we get new raid leaders in, and i hope we do, it should improve again and be like what it was.

As for the teamspeak meeting, if it was cancelled for the reason you say, then that isn't acceptable. There's ALWAYS something to talk about, and usually the members are the ones who can give best feedback, looking in from the outside.

I'm sure if you stick around, the wilderness activity will pick up again now that the skilling activities have calmed down. Would be a shame to lose you.

So you're quitting...because one week out of 52 we decide to TONE DOWN the amount of raiding we do...

We held raids during the damn week. The Friday before the Olympics ended BTO held a raid. We had a raid at the beginning of the Olympics which was just like you said, a group of people deciding to go out, it wasn't even official or required. People just decided to take a break from skilling and go out in PvP.

I mean...I LOVE raiding. That's why I joined a P2P PvP team. But to say that one week with less raiding is so much of a sacrifice is insane. Regularly we have three raids, BTO's saturday raid, the Aussie raid and now Lee's GMT raid. Those are usually on the weekends anyway. And the Olympics took place primarily during the main week (Monday-Friday) so there wouldn't have been any raids during that time anyway...but because it's a skilling week that makes the week that much more unbearable?

Have fun I guess.

I think you'll want to stay. Skill olympics was an exception, and even then, we had 2 raids that week (I think lee hosted an early one, maybe bringing that to 3).

Theres a couple of changes that are gonna coming up WG's pvp scene that will fix alot of problems.

I'd just like to mention to everyone trying to make him stay, i highly doubt this will happen. He has already attended a War with Autark as i witnessed in some screen shots on their win thread.
