I took a whim to go through the WG history tonight and I became quite depressed.

Reading about how WG used to have shit loads of fun with steel being the maximum gear that could be afforded, low requirements that are not even half of what they are today and such like that.

I miss the unknown and the poor. RuneScape is now ruined in my opinion, and with that clanning is only repetitive and redundant. This is more than likely what draws me away from the game at the moment. It is nothing for someone to go out and to lose 10 or 20 rune sets for their clan every weekend, wasting sometimes up to 12 hours just to go back and do the exact same the following day or the following week.

I am extremely jealous of those that were able to experience the quality that RuneScape seemed to have back then; especially those that clanned while I believe the clan world was at it's height.

There is no respect to another clan or another person now. If you go on RSC you see constant bickering and many disagreements that leads to drama that no one is willing to resolve in a simple fight. Before, if you showed disrespect, a war would engage. Now being in a clan is only a rank.. somewhat a temporary thing. Before it seemed like it was an honor to be in a clan, to have the name of the clan following you around.. something to be extremely proud of.

Why must there be something that is going on where as people get older and seemingly more mature, the people in-game are only more immature, showing no care or respect?

In the old days if two clans had a grudge they would solve it in a war, not flaming, hacking, etc. Lots more retards play now too..

God I feel you. The clan world is ridiculous, and unless you're in a no lifing clan with tight standards and extreme hours, you're a "loser." Most big clans also have little to no honor towards each other. They all break their own rules. Look at every DF vs DI fight.

Completely agree. Except I actually did experience the clan world back then. It was so much more fun. I don't mean to make you feel bad, but it's true...the clan world was much better back then...

It is just sad to see all of the good things end, especially when you didn't have a chance to partake in the events.

If only we had enough influence and people were not egotistical fucktards that can't show empathy or care for honor or respect to be able to bring back the clan world from the shit that it has spiraled itself down into.

Wanting to experience something new has increased my interest in other games. Yet have I found something that seems as great as RuneScape did when I first played it. Most MMORPG's have the same format as each other. Guild Wars, WoW, Perfect World, GodsWar. They are all built off of the same formula, but each has their own quirks.
