Raid Leader Applications

WG needs another raid leader.
At the moment we only have Leecable and Bto as Warlord and that isn't enough.

We plan on promoting TWO raid leaders

QUOTE   Back to Own)

Being a Raid Leader is more difficult then most people think. It isn't just pile-calling, taking fall-ins. Theres a bunch of more responsibilities to handle. The fate of each Raid or War depends on your actions; each decision you make is much more important then it has been. WG's direction itself is placed in your hands. It can be very stressful or fun, depending on how you take it.

All WG may apply, though obviously your history in WG and activity will improve your chances.

Application Form

Try to be brief and to the point if possible. Do not however, compromise the details in the questions. It is better to be straightforward and not TOO lengthy.

Make sure you are commited. Being a Raid Leader requires lots of dedication and constant commitment throughout your ENTIRE service.

Post your application HERE on this topic

Raid Leader Application

RSN: Zemus3654
Timezone: AEST, Gmt+10

1. When did you join WG, and why did you join?
I first joined WG in early november 2007, when my irl friend Spounty was like "yo join WG" So i was like "lol k". I didnt really even know what a clan was back then, and knew nothing of how to tank and such hash.png. I still remember my first war in WG, a 3 vs 3 at the east tree. When i was piled i just stood there taking the hits, dont think i was even praying L. Yeah we lost...

Anyways kinda got off track, as i said when i first joined it was only because Spounty told me too and didn't really know anything about it. I checked it out, and after just a month or two i loved it. Always loved raiding in old WG, especially drag luring woeh.gif

2. On what days are you active? What is your usual online/playing time (GMT/EST)? (ex. 1:00pm GMT - 10:00pm GMT)
Mon/Tues/Wednesday - 8:00am GMT - 1:00pm GMT
Thursday - 5:00am GMT - 1:00pm GMT
Friday - 8:00am GMT - 5:00pm GMT
(I can come online mon-friday between 9:00pm GMT - 11:00pm GMT, in the morning before school for a raid/war but generally i'm not online at that time).
Weekend i can attend pretty much any event which is not 5:00pm GMT - 8:00pm GMT, which is 2am-5am for me.
Also note: These are times based off my School/Gym times, I may have something spontaneous come up like doing stuffs with mates, but that is generally the time i have free.

3. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone?
Yes, although currently my mic is broken and i have to use my sisters L. But i will be getting a new one very soon.

4. Are you comfortable with F2P & P2P combat raiding alike? Yes, I have been apart of WG for almost 2 years now, and always loved both f2p and p2p pvp, and am currently in team Ancient Fury (epic p2p multi team k).

5. What is your view on the way WG is headed in pvp? What do you feel about F2P? P2P?
Pvp wise, WG is at a very important stage. We were doing great in p2p, but now with school starting again for most of the clan, we're starting to head into a bit of a slump. We need to keep our heads high and continue beasting in p2p, but also get some f2p action happenning too. Our activity in pvp as a whole has dropped alot, and I hope to redeem this by setting more regular pks, for different timezones in both f2p and p2p, and also some wars.

6. It is important to have a goal to strive towards while leading. What are your goals for WG if you become a Raid Leader? How do you think you will achieve it? Remember to elaborate.
Currently, I'd like to see WG get out of this slump and continue our activity not only in p2p, but f2p also. I want to see WG being a dominant force in the wilderness once more, and with the right motivation and effort, YES WE CAN@@. I think we need to bring back mandatory raiding with signups and all, but only like once or month (ya, megaraids). But also more 'smaller' raids, both planned and spontaneous. Its like a cycle, When raids become boring and eventless, people start not coming, when people start coming and we get bad turnouts then we just get cleared by any team we run into.
So Mr Moose3654, what is your brilliant plan to counter this problem?
Wat who said dat?, but thank you for asking, Well this is where spying could've really benefited us, we could've been guaranteed action when we step in the wilderness, but the majority of WG voted against that and i'll respect that decision. Really the only thing we can do about it is to encourage people to come to raids so we can fight larger clans which we run into, and go out when most other clans are so we get more action, thus more fun, thus more people, thus happier wg raiding hash.png

7. Do you plan on going inactive within the next six months?
No, i do have school work and exams and such, but nothing major.

8. What qualities do you have that would make you a good Raid Leader and place you above other candidates?
Well im sure there are alot of capable guardians here, but a few qualities that i believe i possess rolleyes.gif
• Friendly - I think its fair to say that i'm pretty good friends with almost everyone in WG (except for Lee bc hes rly smelly, and has a tiny pns), and if anyone has a problem or needs help with anything I will be happy to help out.
• Persistence - If something needs working on, i won't stop until it's done, and am always willing to do any needed work.
• Commitment - I really enjoy warring and raids, I'll always be looking to get us a war, and hosting raids and shiz. At the moment I do have quite alot of free time that i could spend on WG.
• Experience - I've been raiding/warring in wg for just under 2 years, and have been in AF for a few months. I was also a trial raid leader in the past. On top of wilderness experience, i've held various leadership positions, in other clans [like Tgc, for example]. So i am experienced with mod cp and irc.
• Money - Though this one really isn't as important as the others, i thought i should put it up anyways. Being a raid leader/warlord, you are pretty much the enemies primary target. You will need to have enough Money and Commitment to have enough sets to keep returning. I have about 80m currently in returning sets and will have no problem using all those and buying more.

9. One problem with leadership is a tendency to start strong, then fade out into inactivity. Will you promise to uphold your duties continously throughout your service to the best of your ability?
Yes, i have seen this alot and i will do my very best to maintain activity and fullfill my duties.

10. Are you commited to stay with WG regardless of whether not you are promoted?
Yes.

If everyone who didn't get it the first time they applied for anything never applied again, the world would be full of unemployed people, and nothing would happen.

Just cos you lost to someone who has been in the clan 4 times as long as you and has mountains more experience you think you're never gonna win again?

Raid Leader Applications

RSN: Fraggie
Timezone: GMT+1

1. When did you join WG, and why did you join? http://www.wildernessguardians.com/forum/i...showtopic=13341 <- my application. I joined WG because i wanted a new clan, WG had some old good friends in it and they have some good raids, also p2p raids.

2. On what days are you active? What is your usual online/playing time (GMT/EST)? (ex. 1:00pm GMT - 10:00pm GMT)
monday: school in evening.
tuesday: 3gmt till 10-11gmt.
wednesday: 3gmt till 10-11gmt.
thursday: 3gmt till 7 gmt.
friday: depends, gotta play table tennis matches mostly on this day.
satureday+sunday: almost always online.

3. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone? Ofcourse

4. Are you comfortable with F2P & P2P combat raiding alike? Yes, been at few p2p from WG now they are always nice, but the f2p need more people to make it good raids.

5. What is your view on the way WG is headed in pvp? What do you feel about F2P? P2P? I think we doing not bad in p2p, everything can be better but the p2p raids are fine in my eyes, only thing missing is more people. About f2p... we gonna need a lot of practice for that, let's take a look back at the war vs LND a 17vs17, and 2 people get instant ko at the beginning off the war... So I'm going to try to help these people learn to tank.

6. It is important to have a goal to strive towards while leading. What are your goals for WG if you become a Raid Leader? How do you think you will achieve it? Remember to elaborate. To start off, winning/cleaning everything but thats kinda obvious. But i also want as many people as possible at the raid and having a nice raid that everyone returns in a battle and not give up easy

7. Do you plan on going inactive within the next six months? Nop.

8. What qualities do you have that would make you a good Raid Leader and place you above other candidates? I've been a warlord/warleader in other clans before. Not going to say how well I did because it would be selfish if i did, u can ask Frozen 10, Imtheganster and other old Ascension.
I've been doing that job in another clan too total for more then 1 year.

9. One problem with leadership is a tendency to start strong, then fade out into inactivity. Will you promise to uphold your duties continously throughout your service to the best of your ability?I do what I have to do, and that is leading the raids.

10. Are you commited to stay with WG regardless of whether not you are promoted? NO IF I NOT GET THIS JOB IM OUT OFF THIS FUCKING SHIT.

Ofcourse I'm staying, once WG always WG.

Raid Leader Applications

RSN: Kingrandy0
Timezone: EST (GMT -5)

1. When did you join WG, and why did you join?
I joined The Wilderness Guardians in August of 2006 because at that time not only was the clan know for being a powerhouse in the wilderness but a great family clan too. After hearing all these great things I decide to go for it. I later rejoined in September of 2007 because after looking for a clan I realized the great times I had here regardless of the clan's strength at that time.

2. On what days are you active? What is your usual online/playing time (GMT/EST)? (ex. 1:00pm GMT - 10:00pm GMT)
I play every weekday after school (4pm EST - 10pm EST)
and Weekends (12pm EST - 2am EST)

3. Do you have Teamspeak and a microphone?
Yes and yes.

4. Are you comfortable with F2P & P2P combat raiding alike?
Yes, I would consider myself advanced in the least cockiest way possible.

5. What is your view on the way WG is headed in pvp? What do you feel about F2P? P2P?
I'll be honest, not good. To me it seems we don't have any goals at the moment. I mean, we become a decent P2P clan over the summer but then we're like "surprise, F2P!" Eh. I think what we need is a target in both P2P and F2P, but I would personally take the P2P route.

6. It is important to have a goal to strive towards while leading. What are your goals for WG if you become a Raid Leader? How do you think you will achieve it? Remember to elaborate.
My goals are simply to make people want to raid instead of being forced. Although enforcing activity is still very important, the process of attending raids should become natural. I want to help WG find its stride in raiding. The first thing that needs a revival is the raid sign-ups. These help sort out who is active. Next, I would poll the upcoming raid so no one complains about the choice.

7. Do you plan on going inactive within the next six months?
No.

8. What qualities do you have that would make you a good Raid Leader and place you above other candidates?
I'm sure people may have noticed, but I take clanning seriously. There is time for fun and games and there's a time for business. Most people can't see that and their attitudes reflect on it. I want to make the job of Raid Leader someone who doesn't just make a raid but someone who makes it a way of life.

9. One problem with leadership is a tendency to start strong, then fade out into inactivity. Will you promise to uphold your duties continously throughout your service to the best of your ability?
Yes, I have held leadership ranks in the past and have finished strong for all of them.
On a side note, I know I was EL before the summer, that was only to help the new council get used to things before I left for camp, not because I consider myself a rank hopper or a skiller.

10. Are you commited to stay with WG regardless of whether not you are promoted?
I'm thinking about getting WG tattooed on my chest.
