Name Changing

Name changing will allow players to change their runescape display names (not your account name). I'm assuming it's not permanent so maybe we could have a clan prefix or suffix to show our clan unity. I have a few ideas but if you have others, share.

Idea 1
WG Name - Real life name
Ex: WG Randy, WG Eugene, WG Kyle

Idea 2
WG RSN
Ex: WG Kingrandy0, WG His Lordship, WG Darth Magul

Idea 3
Guardian Name
Ex: Guardian Randy, Guardian Eugene, Guardian Kyle

Idea 4
WG Rank Name
Ex: WG Elite Randy, WG Leader Eugene, WG Council Kyle
(I don't know the character limit, but it WILL be increased)

I'm not positive but I believe the system will work something like this-
Let's say you change it to WG Dylan
It would either say WG Dylan (Surferguy80) or have your name on the mouse-over

But I think people should definitely do it hashdown.gif.png

I like the idea of having a type of display same. You mentioned a mouse over? I like that idea, and I'd go for Wg Jonny or WG Imp as my display name.

Sounds legit Randy, but by doing this we run the risk of imposters using the WG tag.
Maybe there is some way we can do otherwise.

If all else fails, Maybe we can only resort to sending a suggestion into Jagex for like a Jagex ML database, where it automatically puts your clan tag at the front of your name, if you are officially a clanmate.

They quite clearly state that your main acc name (Such as Surferguy80) will be kept hidden as a security measure (can;t hack an account if you don;t know it's name can you?).

I won't be changing my name, I've had it since I started RS and I don't see any benefit in changing it.

If I was to change it to have something to do with WG, I would only want to prefix it with "WG".

My goal is to get the name "Lefty". If that does not happen, then I will probably stick to "Lefty2802" unless a large majority of WG was using a prefix.

People's preference should air precedence. If I want a particular name and can have it, I shouldn't have to prefix it with WG.

This should be more optional (it sounds like you want it to be mandatory). If I want to prefix my name with WG then yeah we should use the "WG RSN" idea.

Personally, I'm hoping for the name "Colonel" or "The Colonel".

I have talked to a jagex mod about this and i was told that you will be able to see peoples real log in name as well. This way you dont have people like ex clan members changing ther names and rejoining to spy on the clan or anything. Thats what i was told by a jagex mod
