We had 6 in attendance tonight at our ts meeting. Thanks to everyone that was able to make it.

pvp

We started out with discussing pvp events. Warrior/Cam is hosting regular Sunday raids for around 4 pm est. This looks to be a good idea. Though it was brought up that the old schoolers will need to try to participate and support this kind of event schedule.

We discussed f2p pk very briefly, some like it and others hate it. For balance WG should try to have some of these for those who do enjoy them.

CWA is mostly seen as no excitement. However, it still has it's place with WG for practice wars and binding practice. This is an area we can improve in. Anyone willing to help host this please pm me.

It was brought up about a p2p team that would help with tank, and hybrid/mage practice. This seemed like a reasonable idea to help WG.

We talked about breaking WG up into small armies that would practice and war as a team against other armies. Something like the "Breakfast Names". These small organized teams would fight our allies. This could help us getting our new members trained to fight and keep everyone more alert to fighting. This is really where are no-lifers would be helpful in WG. They would be around to encourage the other members on thier teams to go to practice and the mini wars.

Bonding and Events

Having TS used more even if only for small groups of friends would help with the planning of events and the bonding of members. It was decided that we will try to use our ts more and get to know each other better.

Boss Hunting Events We talked about how WG seems to be moving in the direction of enjoying boss hunting. There needs to be more events and focus on this. Barrows was also mentioned as possible events to have.

Skills event will never have the attendance that pvp does but it still has it's place in WG. Some mini games geared at skills might be nice.

Having 1 hour competitions would also be a fun event. To see who can do the most of whatever the event happens to be. Random fun events like snowball fights, keraoke, and I sketch were also mentioned.

Forum Activity

Our forum activitiy appears to have increased. The RSC challenge was good and we are going into a Tip It challenge now.

This brought up discussion on a recruitment team. If the people on the team are willing to do the work, it would be nice for them to get guardian scores.

Staff and Member Activity

It was discussed about the general activity of the members and staff. Most everyone would love to see Gene more. Although we know he is really busy, would be nice to see him a little more often. Members in general just need to get to the events/raids/wars. We discussed punishment but most agreed that doesn't work and ends up bad in the end.

The idea that inactives are safe on the member list was discussed and if you are inactive I would say get active now. blink.gif

The teams/armies/events/raids and all else would not be of any use without our great community. It needs to be a relaxing and "family" like atmosphere for all to enjoy.

Please post your comments and any additional ideas here. If I missed something, just add it below. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.
“The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems
is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”

i would love to have been there but I seem to have trouble setting up the TS server even though I followed your guide on the forums.. FML?

Well.. I'll just unload some of my opinions..

PVP:

Actually I think it has increased lately. We've done like 2-3 fighting events this week and we've got some more next week which is an improvement since I came here as a guest. I can't really say anything that would need change here but I think that CWA is great training for everybody and it's a great place for lower levels like me to train on fighting techniques without losing my armor.

Bonding and events:

I think we should do more allied events which would bring us closer to our allies. At the halloween event today where some of TDM's members attended was an amazing experience. We were many people who attended and it felt like we made a huge impression on people who saw us. (NOT ONLY BECAUSE OF MOD JON E!!!)

I'd like to see more people at Non-PvP events. It's a downer to see like 5 attendants at em. I'd say we somehow should motivate eachother to go the events making em a better experience for everybody. I actually have some ideas I'd like to share later this week.

Forum Activity:

Staff members need to get better at writing recaps and give out attendance points. for me, attendance points shows how dedicated you are and for me it has a big interest. I can see I've recieved 5 attendance points so far but I've completed enough events to get myself 10. There are 2 events from the 29th I haven't got attendance for and I really think it sucks. I don't want to push the staff members into taking care of it because I honestly don't know how busy they are and I don't want to be a selfish bastard who only thinks of his own achievements.. but it means alot to me TBH.

I could always suggest that we made a rank for this.. Something like "Event assistant" who could take care of the recaps instead of having event leaders doing all the work. For me, it sounds like all the staff members are loaded with tasks and duties so why not help them carry their beast of burden?

Member activity:

We need to get some more staff members in my opinion. People has been complaining about the lack of activity. For example; Once we had Application managers who took care of the applicants. If we had like 2 application managers, we would already have a better flow. And for my earlier suggestion; If we had a socalled "Event Assistant" who could take care of different tasks after an event was hosted (Event leaders take care of the event and the Event Assistant take care of the recap and the attendance)

I'd love to see more flow on the forums aswell. We could find some subjects to discuss. It would increase the ammount of posts made and people might find it a little more interesting. In the real world forum we could make a topic daily concerning something in the real life that has an impact on everybody.."Debate of the day: Religion - Good or bad" It would have me posting like a mad scientist :-D

I'm quite sure you'll find alot of bad grammar. It's late and I'm quite tired smile.gif
