This was a very productive ts meeting. We had 19 total in attendance. His Lordship was able to attend and gave us a great view of WG history. We discussed the general decline in rs players overall and how it affects the number of people that are wanting a clan.

Wars/Raids

As we discussed today's f2p raid, it was clear that much more disciple is needed on raids for members to follow the raid leader's orders more quickly and to fall in fast. Seemed some members may not have known how to do the dd. A suggestion to go deeper in the wild and to stick to the piles that the raid leader calls was made. It seems that some could not find the pile so they just went off on their own. Then when fall in was called it took them to long to return to the pile. The faster transitions and maybe the fall in leaders wearing something that helps identify them to the clan.

From the raid leaders maybe a more clear call of location by using east, west, south, and north with a description. The channel being open to the members to talk needs to be available in wars but only if the members can learn to be respectful and only speak when necessary instead of to much overtalking our leaders and going off on their own chats. (Even I wanted to tape someone's mouth today at the raid.)

Organizing for improvement

We talked about organizing mini events that will help practice fall in quick and pile transition. Steel wars was brought up. CWA is not the place to train but if we could get 15 to come practice every time we would see improvement. It has to be a clan wide effert.

Sniper unit needs to be more effective and work when have raids by a ratio of snipers to ops. Like no more than 4 to 25 members.

Recruiting

WG has been built and based on having massive amounts of members. Our updating the acceptance into the clan has greatly improved our trial guardians. We are not a massive recruiting clan but more of a stable personal clan.

Surprising a discussion came out about how a lot of long term members came from in game recruiting. Gene is rethinking this as one of our assets.

RSC < Tip It

We discussed the 10 year old annoying brats that post on rsc and how they hate Gene. It was decided to go more towards tip it. We will be having another challenge for 25 posts immediately following the one that ends on Friday. The more mature community may bring us more stable members. Being a stable clan is good.

Tip it may become a required screen shot for graduation. Look for an IA to be made about us using it more as a clan.

Pod Cast

Jon shared an idea he has for doing pod cast to help WG get recruits. Look for a thread on this tomorrow. Great job Jon.

Community Events

It was made known that the community events are being missed. Fire fest, flower power, ect . . . they may seem overly simple but they are a good way for clan mates to bond. These events are a great foundation to friendships.

Positive Outlook

We are an old school type clan. We believe that embedding positive experiences at raids/wars will anchor members into the clan. Our community is one of our strongest assets. We are more stable clan with one of the longest serving leaders in RS. Our event varietyi is huge compared to any other clan. This all contributes to our success as a clan.

I hope you will post your comments and anything I may have missed. Thanks for everyone that attended.

Thank you Garrett and Dallar.
“The day soldiers stop bringing you their problems
is the day you have stopped leading them.
They have either lost confidence that you can help them
or concluded that you do not care.
Either case is a failure of leadership.”

Lets post a lot of our wins/pk trips on tip it + really get involved with that community.
We'll be noticed a lot more than we are on rsc.

Guys,

Although i'm new and that, I still think that it was a great meeting, a lot of keen people with some great ideas and plans for the future. The Biggest thing we need to do now, it actually start implementing our plans and working through them. I will start looking through the tip.it forums and will decide if I think it's benefitial for me to sign up (ie. If there are enough topics that I can actually post useful posts, rather than the normal post count-upping junk).

Anyway, good meeting and good luck everyone

I just happened to be on when the TS meeting happened and I am glad I was. I found it very informative. Also, notice that I am highlighted in the screen shot--my only chance at fame--but I know it was a fluke (lol). Also, a quick comment on death dots. I suspect that there are people out there who do not know how to dd or are not good at it. I happen to be the latter. The first time I heard it called. I had no idea what it was. Also, when you call a fall in or FI please use the player name. I remember my fitst FI and it was on Randy. OK since I was getting use to peoples names I had not idea on who to FI on. I think we were raiding so it was a heck of a time to learn.
