Yeah the war against DW that was posted was a lure to get a good turnout to a a war practice event. If your going to get angry at anyone for tricking you all like that get mad at and talk with me. It was my idea and Lee helped me out by hosting.

Instead of having the F2P war like advertised, we went up to GDs in the safe FFA arena and had our practice:
- We had two snipers, Randy and I who were to hit any hybrids we saw.
- When the hybrids were hit by us they were to put on their rune, and the snipers would move to another target.
- Lee would order WG to DD, we did, and Lee would call out a pile, WG was to attack/bind that person.
- The person who was selected to be piled (at random might I add) was to tank around the area until death.

Overall I was very pleased with the turn out, I guarantee we would have not been able to get this kind of a turnout if it were advertised as a war practice and not a war itself. We probably won't trick you guys again so don't worry.

Lots of things can be worked on,
- Hybrids have to put their rune on much faster when being sniped. Randy and I almost KOed some of you, imagine a full sniper force on you.
- Our spam has to keep up all the time. Yeah whatever it's a practice, that doesn't matter. Never stop spamming in game.
- Binds were really good for the most part, now if everyone would bind to every F2P fight we get we would be golden.

I agree but it wasn't as if its a weekly thing where Lee lies about wars just to get practices. It was a one time thing that left a message to all of us.

I think it was a great way of doing it. It was somehow mandatory and we would never have gotten so many people to join it if we told em it was a practise..

Bad joke.

But i have to admit it did the trick smile.gif
Not bad turnout, but if it were really a foul out vs DW, i think we wont have enaugh ppl to outnumber them.
Sorry i dced in the middle, some local netrwork problem.

Nice practise anyway.

Nice and effective lure, but tis a one-time thing, the pull actually wasn't bad for a 1 day prep. hash.png

Yeah the war against DW that was posted was a lure to get a good turnout to a a war practice event.

Last time I arranged a similar event and disguised it as an official war for a better turnout, I was High Council of another clan and got forced to step down and leave the clan because of it.

I was out at the time but if I had showed up and found out it was a lure for another event I would have left without a second thought and sent a complaint to the top ranks myself. I don't think anyone wants to be in a clan where the ranks can lie to the members about what an event is just for a better turnout.

I would get into a whole cwa practices are useless in PvP debate but in any case the bottom line is staff should not lie to members for any reason.

Mhe, I dced. angryhahs.gif.png

I understand why you guys did this, but Imo isn't this the way to get a good turnout.
I mean, people may cancel things irl or other stuff.
Anyway, I'd love to see more practice events like this, but not in a lure. tongue.gif

@mtoise - Lol. Well if the staff can lie to the members about the event, the members should be able to lie about why they're not coming. But to be fair, training 45k attack xp is more productive than a cwa practice for some people.

@Lee - Yes, I have an issue with 1) Hosting a war practice in CWA which is counterproductive anyway and 2) The staff valuing event turnouts over honesty to their members, and from the looks of things I'm not the only one. I could not attend at the time so it is of no loss to me, and I know the activity issues WG is experiencing but I honestly did not expect the staff to do something like this. I shall take the matter up with Gene when he returns and we'll see how things progress. For the moment I would expect that the events we host from now on are what the hosts say they are.
