We had a problem solving TS meeting. We discussed how we might better the clan with war practices and how to achieve more acceptable attendance from members.

A better Reward and Discipline System

The suggestion is that we have more strict rules for attendance to war practices. Something like the following:

+2 Attendance for coming
-1 Attendance for not coming (this is no matter what unless you have an inactive post)
-2 Attendance for not coming and being in IRC, RS, Forum, MSN or whatever

Preferred Selection at Wars

The raid leader would hold war practices one or two days before scheduled wars. Those that attend the practice get preference over those that don't. So if you are lvl 100 and someone higher than you did not attend practice. If one of you have to leave, it will be the one that did not attend practice.

A War Practice System

It would be similar to the rolling count for attendance. Only this would just keep attendance for practice. If your practice count falls below a certain number, then you may not attend the war. (I'm not sure it it could end in an inactivity sweep tool. That wasn't clear to me.)

I will come no matter what, if I am able.

If everyone did this, we would of not needed to even discuss this.

Activity Sweep for not attending practices.

Someone suggested that the people that don't want to come should be simply gone from WG as it doesn't show dedication to not help out your fellow clanmates that need to learn.

This poll is just to see what we as a clan think might work. The results and comments on this thread may help staff to come up with a more successful plan.

If I missed anyone please post below.

We discussed the above suggestions for ways to increase attendance to war practices. We discussed how our new members need a safe environment to practice. We discussed the importance of mixing up the types of practices we do. How pvp practice is important because it is an entirely different psychological experience. How sometimes it is necessary to use CWA cause the PVP worlds are to busy to have a successful practice.

Most Importantly: We are friends with each other and need to get over being mad. It doesn't help the clan to hold on to your anger. Working together for the common good of WG shows maturity, dedication and clan unity.

Thanks for taking the time to come to this meeting, voting and for reading this post.

Sounds like a well attended and productive meeting. I hope we don't really have to resort to taking away attendance points though.

I think this went well.

I voted that I would attend no matter what if I could. I really need to get better at warring because I'm still pretty rusty in a lot of areas.

I'm ready to see the results from the pool

Edit: So i made my vote and i think you should have to make so many war practice in a month or you are counted as inactive. But this leaves the problem of how many will there be in a month... And it also leaves the problem of warring. How many Preped wars are we going to have in a month?

So on the warring note. I think we should try for a preped war every week... This will keep everyone fresh on warring and it will keep the clan name out there. Also this will keep us from having to have non preped pkri's. Now i also think most all of our wars should be in PVP worlds unless we go for RAW rank. And if we are going to go for RAW rank we need to practice in the cwa way before we sign up for wars there.

Now lets say someone listens to me and we have a preped war every week. We can still have a spur pkri if we wanted to have one but not really needed. And this also leaves us with about 4 wars a month. So with 4 wars a month 2 practices a month is more than enough. And that would leave us making people come to 1 practice a month. Now think about that 1 practice even the people that think they are the best tank in the clan can deal with 1 practice a month. And if people need more than that theres another practice in 2 weeks or so.

For anyone that doesn't agree with having to go to practices heres what i have to say. We are getting more and more new members. A lot of the new members dont know how we do things when it comes to pvp and some of them have never been in a war before. So we need to show them what they need to do. (This brings up another point i will talk about later on in this post.) Now for our current members some of them are not the best tanks either. I'm not naming anyone off but i'm just saying people can always work at being better. And if you think your one of the best tanks in this clan you should be at the practice to teach people the little tricks they dont know so as a clan we are better. So that means everyone should be going to the practice. Everyone now has a reason to be there. And its for the clan so dont say its a waist of time...

Now about the new members. I think when someone gets trial guardian they should be required to attend a practice. Maybe even within the first 2 weeks of there trial. We should have a group of people that are willing take them out and give them 1 on 1 training. This is just to show them where they should tank and how to tank. How to hug people where theres aloud to go during a war. Where key places are like lava gap, gdz, spiders, members gate, east and west tree and rocks, Red dragon gate and so on. people dont know all of that stuff. Not just new members... Some of our current members dont know where all those locations are either.

Well.... thats what i have to say seeing as i wasn't at the meeting because i'm a feeling a bit under the weather and slept way to much lol

hehe guilty rolleyes.gif

I really think these practices should be mandatory for new members. Maybe have them attend 1/2/3 before they can become a full Guardian?

Also, maybe everyone should be required to have 1 practice within the next 3 weeks. It can be whenever you want but you MUST have one. The leaders can then note who knows how to tank, hug, pile, spam, etc. I hear some people saying they are amazing but from my noob eyes at the practice, a lot of people are rusty with spamming.

I will come no matter what, if I am able.

Chosen because it's what's expected of members in all clans and it's the one which doesn't really force or pressure members to attend war practices. I'll stay fairly neutral here.

why do we need to give rewards for people to do simple things as attending events?

just make them come or kick them out /rant

the problem with this is lets say everyone gets there 1 needed war practice in for the clan. then they dont have to go to anymore ever... so from that point on people will not go to practices and instead of getting 26 people to show up and help teach the people that need to learn we will still get like 7 people to show up. where 4 of them are trying to learn. thats just not going to help things out much. If we do like i said hold 2 full clan practices a month and require that everyone attends atleast 1 every month then we wont have that problem. And with the new members like i said have people give them 1 on 1 training when they first get trial =)

Yeah, if it helps the other members I'll show up. I just hope we don't start having the real wars there neko2.gif

The problem is how they're organized.
