Ok, I'm putting together a decent computer using bits n pieces from old systems we don't need anymore. The hardware works fine but in terms of software...

First attempt to boot up, got this:

LOL.

I don't know the password to the BIOS for the computer I'm building, so plugged the hard drive into my normal computer and installed Windows XP home edition onto it there. Upon shutting down and replacing the hard drive with XP back into the new system, I get that.

So, I have windows XP installed on the drive which works fine from my usual computer, but when I try to boot it on the new one, no matter what I try in terms of boot options (Including booting direct from c: which is the drive), it doesn't work.

Halp, anyone?

Looks like you've got a keyboard failure.

Does the computer you're using have PS2 type keyboard ports? thats the only thing I can think of that would cause that issue if you have a keyboard plugged in (Keyboard Failure means that it thinks you don't have one plugged in).

If thats the case, try finding a PS2 keyboard and use that.
