awesome rant

i have to admit on one aspect. haven't seen solutions, mostly complaining.

in any case, you have to look at it from wether its a personal decision to train or a clan decision and if so. which direction to move forth?

Listen we have to get better and the first step is cutting out the piece of shit idiots that don't care about WG, if they cared they would show up for practices that are MANDATORY. WTF. This is not hard to contemplate people who won't do what the authority tells them too are simply worthless and should be kicked for insubordination. People with the ranks are pussies about punishment for skipping events.

This is the bit I agree with. Fighting clans like DW and Solace (Which is 80% SE) is not the best of ideas for us right now.

Meh, Practices would be nice I guess, but still nothing is as good as the real thing. You also all need to train.

Let's have a school analogy, shall we.

War practices = being in class for the week.
War = test over material from the week.

Without being in class during the week, how the hell do you expect to pass the test?

Also, Training = homework.

Once you know how to tank it takes very little for you to be able to get the ability to do it again back. Get 99 defence and you'll notice the difference.

david

do you truly espect people to respect you and follow you with such a weak resolve? you don't trust anyone but your true-self and although you are truly great in all meaning of the word. i can't seem to see how kicking people that are inactive, can't come to wars, is going to truly change a burden we psychologically carry ourselves?

Chill out mate, no need to get so worked up

Practices would be good, but we need to know what we are practicing. Taking kcross's idea, we need a good teacher in order for these classes to work out, who can identify what needs improving the most.

The reason we lost the last war was mostly the disadvantage we had of being ranged without knowing the rules properly. With more rangers we would have had a much better chance. Organisation is much better than it was years ago (with differnet people than today), especially fall-ins after kills. I think the main thing we need to practice is tanking, because people clearly had difficulty with it judging by the speed at which their KC went up.

Maybe a practice with 2 teams (for the surprise element of piling), where everyone has just a rune scimmy and food? Should be a lot more beneficial. Now it needs someone to arrange it.

Your being extremely shortsided if you think all we need to do is tank practice, there is so much more to warring than just TANKING. Tanking is the easiest thing in the world to do.

Though I agree to an extent that WG needs practice, there is one big issue with running them. Most people DO NOT want to 'waste' their time practicing, and whatever you do I am yet to see a successful way of making people do something that they desperately don't want to do. Sure warn levels & suspensions can be handed out to try and improve attendance, but it is almost inevitable that a nasty reaction will follow.

As chimpy rightly points out, MORE wars can be just as good as practice, particularily if they're ones that WG has a good chance of winning (*hint Hint* Raid Leaders, get something easier?).

Another Idea would be to get some war's against our allies now that we have 4. These used to be frequent events (both fun steel wars & CWA wars in full gear) yet they seem to have dropped as several of our allies activity in the wilderness has dropped as well. We now have a very active ally in the form of TS so why not try something along those lines with them? I do realise that CWA wars *aren't* quite the same as PvP, but anything is better than nothing, and if you think it is hard to get people to practice now..... Imagine if they were loosing 200k+ each event neko2.gif

Whats your excuse for getting koed then? lol

This is how it goes in importance Tanking > Binding > rest

What you just said just totally ignores what i said, like i said before, once you know how to tank it takes very little to get back into it. Not once did i say all we need is to be able to tank in wars, nor did i once say that tanking practice is the only thing to do.

Next time you reply to a perfecty good comment with that bullshit comment think about it.

We now have 4 raid leaders and a warlord. Our pvp is going to start picking up now. Practices are something that people will argue over. But as I see it, we all need practice and those that don't should be there as our examples to learn from.

Just start training and know that your contributing to the clan by attending practice even if you think it is a waste of your time. It may be your waste, but someone else could be learning and that benefits the clan.

This is something I had wrote a while ago but decided not to post.

QUOTE

If you currently have good levels, I thank you for your true dedication and for making the choice to train your account and do your very best for the Wilderness Guardians. If you have not yet experienced the desire to train up your account, give it a chance ------I can guarantee it is much more fun to not die on a few hits when your out with WG.  No one can make you train if you truly don't like it. If you do choose to not train, that's fine, but remember when someone shows up with higher combat at a war with better equipment that they will get to enjoy the benefits they deserve.  If you find yourself in a heated disccussion with a clan mate or someone that doesn't train their account, it's okay to explain to them that wars/raids are no different than any other part of being in WG. Tell them to read the WG history----- started as low levels willing to give it their all and trained many hours, recruited all their friends and had great times together.

I used to play on a Counter-Strike team that took the game seriously. We knew we'd never be the best or even close to it, but to be a top 200 team in CS is really an accomplishment, and we achieved that (I think). How? We practiced. A lot. And if you missed a practice, it would be noticed. Multiple missed and you would be kicked out. I know its not the same in Runescape because the size of clans is much larger than a CS team. But think of how far we went just because we practiced. Not sure if this will stick with anyone, but CS has truly taught me that practice makes perfect.
