Well I got a mixture of things in this topic. I got some changes that I think the clan should make to be better at warring, and some general tips for individual performance.

1) 105+ f2p to join, 110+ for full member.

It's an undeniable fact that higher levels perform better in wars. To no fault of low levels, it's just your stats are low, trust me I understand I've been in your footsteps. I also suggest adding in a def req, 92+ for full member? It's obviously apparent that we are vastly outleveled in wars, and it is contributing to our downfalls.

We only have 4 people under 105, and 10 under 110. That's really not alot, it shouldn't be hard to get 110 in 2-3 months time. Especially if you have to hash.png.

2) 2 wars a week

Mainly just have a couple small wars every week, like matched opts etc. And have a fair balance between p2p and f2p. Maybe have a war on the same day of the week, so everybody can expect to have a war that day and plan around it.

Wars are always better than practice.

3) Make better use of styles

If Range is allowed, we need to make the best use of it. We need to have as many rangers as we can afford, even if we stretch the range reqs a tad. Tribriding is also another very useful asset. Range is what gets us koes...yet time and time again the leaders underestimate it. FORCE people to range. Hell range yourselves, who cares.

And when the person you're attacking switches prays, switch styles. Especially in P2p. You also have to pay attention to what styles they're using on you while you're tanking and adjust your pray and what you're wearing.

Raid leaders, FORCE people to use the styles that they should be, stop being so soft on them.

Some Personal tips if you're having trouble with warring:

~ When hybriding, if you're getting sniped, put on rune except for robetop and keep binding. If he still doesn't leave after awhile then put rune and prayer up.

~ When Ranging, stay close to the pile, so you don't get left behind and your arrows hit more frequent.

~ If using Pizzas, eat one half and move onto the next pizza. If you each pizza one by one you'll fail hard, as it's very slow. If you're still getting koed, use swordies, might help.

~ When tanking, do the following in this order when tanking: Pray (Melee +15% def unless it's p2p or they have more rangers than meleers in f2p) > Armour > Eat up > staff > Run to the nearest hugging item, and click on your dhide body (and legs if you're a pro like me hash.png) as soon as you move. If you shake off the first bind or two and gain some separation, put mage pray up, KEEP RUNNING. If you're bound again and they're closing in, put melee pray back up.

Also when we have a PKRI, such as the one vs poison, don't be afraid to slightly downgrade your gear, I'd rather you return in slightly worse, but yet still decent and acceptable gear 5 more times rather than burn through your good sets.

We have some great guides in the guides section on warring, READ THEM.

That's all, discuss. hash.png

I am personally against having 2 combat requirements. I want the members to not focus primarily on combat in their joining process. We just need a more solid requirement.

For 2 wars a week, we are almost there. It really depends on the activity of the channels. Having silly 10v10 wars doesn't help anyone.

And the styles today was mainly a misunderstanding.

Fine. Aslong as higher reqs I'm happy hash.png.

Very true, but I've seen it under utalized in the past, many times. And even today, we realised it was range allowed when we were still massing at bh stairs, nothing was done.

People agree, and say something needs to be done. I agree with them, if we are to start winning, something needs to change. But, no one is doing anything..

I'm happy just being in wg, and hanging out with you guys. The situation isn't as desperate as some of us make it seem though.

I definitely agree about ranging. Last night it looks like we got the rules wrong, but there again not enough people returned with range. It can be so useful. Hugging does jack all, you run far less, and their main prayer has no effect. I'm pretty sure its why they won last night.

Good warring advice too.

I agree that reqs should be raised, but maybe not by that much. While WG members are getting higher and higher levels on average, if people join at the lower end of the scale they're gonna get a lot of pressure to train, and it really isn't pleasant and can cause rifts. Its a lot better if they intro, start using the lobby, then get levels until they can join.
